Nice historic site well-preserved by the state. Fantastic river views and a small hiking trail on the property. Worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

It was such a beautiful day for a stroll through this nice, well-maintained park. The river was pretty. You can go down to the river, nearby. There was a lot of space for the picture perfect picnic. The Fort lets you imagine what life used to be like, right there by the Ohio River, long ago. There is plenty of parking. Theres a boat ramp that leads you down to a boat dock. We saw many barges passing by. The park also has a Visitor Center. Where I parked was down closer to the boat ramp/dock area. If you park in this area, you will have to walk up a short, but steep path to reach the area of the Statue, wooden buildings, and informational posts. The river is so pretty from this point. Especially, if the sun is shining. I did not see a wheel chair ramp for the way I went up. I'm sure the other turn in was for a direct pull in for the visitors center.

I love riding my bike, doing yoga, grilling out or hanging out at this park. Lots of hiking and playgrounds. Also a fishing pond and awesome bike paths.

American history wasn't my favorite subject in school but now that I am 60 it tends to be the most interesting as well as important. We got here at 4 pm and it was still open, wandering the grounds would have been good but touring the inside museum was awesome especially all the muskets and flint tools. It's very great that people use their time to restore such magnificent things
