Fort McCoy / Lake Oklawaha KOA Holiday

Welcome to Fort McCoy/Lake Oklawaha KOA/RV Park. If you have an adventurous spirit, or prefer to just sit back and relax while enjoying a spectacular view, this park has something for everyone.

You'll savor the bluff-top view of lovely Lake Oklawaha from this serene setting in the Ocala National Forest. With its 3,700 feet of private lakefront, this KOA makes it easy to take advantage of nature. Take one of the campground's trails down by the water to drop a line in, or explore the forest's many trails by ATV or OHV. We are separate from the Ocala National Forest, so we ask you handle your permits before arrival. We have activities and amenities for campers of all ages, including volleyball, playground, dog park, kids crafts, movie nights, DJ/live music, family friendly social areas, lake access, and much more. There's even a 6,000-square-foot clubhouse (with a kitchen) that has plenty of room for dancing, reunions and other events.  You'll also want to check out the adjacent Junior Olympic-size pool. Pool: Open Year Round. Max pull thru: 81 feet.

I would not recommend this place. It was a complete mess as a whole. The grass on the sites was knee height, water was shooting from the pipes from the ground. For one morning the whole park’s water stopped due to a giant 4 ft water geyser shooting into the air. The amount of drama from the residents at this park was crazy. We were there for one weekend and the people were all gossiping about each other and fighting and trying to get into everyone else’s business. Last and certainly not least, this park stole my money and will not respond to calls, voicemails, or emails. The woman at the office claimed that the card charger wasn’t working after swiping our cards 3 times. We then paid cash so we could stay there and a few days later, we were charged 3 times in addition to our cash payment. It’s been a month and they will not answer calls or emails to refund me my money that they stole.

Was worried about staying here after reading reviews but I could not have been happier with our stay. Beautiful campgrounds and friendly people. We will be going back again

This is a sad KOA. It is geared towards atv's so it has a ton of atv's riding around campground and making a ton of noise and dust. The pool burned my skin. People walk right thru your campsite with no regard. The rules for atv's that we read were not followed and it made it hard to explain to our grandson. We pay more to stay at KOA's and expect a little more. It had no garbage service and our campsite had cigarette butts all over it. Gross place and do not recommend.

I'm not sure how KOA called this place a holiday. But if you don't have an ATV then you don't belong here. They also treat you that way has someone took my side view mirror off my Class A motorhome while we were sleeping. We were wondering why all the better looking campsites have fences around their site the people that live there. Which was 99.9 of the people except for the residence. Dog crap all over a campsite cigarette butts broken picnic table. This place was so amazing instead of our 3-day stay we left the very next day after we pulled in that afternoon. I lost the rest of our money along with a side view mirror
