Fort Morgan RV Park
Norlene Burrow
Newly renovated RV park. Clean, new gravel sites. Very quiet, peaceful, and we enjoyed our weeklong stay. Park is still under construction so unsure if it is in the plans but it is very dark at night and some lights would be a nice improvement on corners if you are walking dogs to the dog run. Beach on the bay was nice to sit on but could not wade in the water. No complaints, would stay here again.

I like to be away from the touristy area. This was PERFECT. The only RV park in area that I found that wasn't HUGE. Very quaint, well maintained, clean park. It's still undergoing some renovations and wow is it nice. Great pier, saw several people catch fish. 10/10 recommend. There's not a pool but that wasn't a big deal for us. We stayed in site 9 but I feel #8 is best one unless you want to back up for that bay view with NO shadeš There are some great restaurants near that aren't overpriced. Take a day tour Fort Morgan, bring beach chair/umbrella & snacks... beach is nice & not crowded & part of admission to Fort.

Even though Fort Morgan RV Park is still under construction, itās already a great place to stay. The sites are spacious and well laid out, with clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. They offer kayak and golf cart rentals, which made exploring and relaxing even more fun. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming, and the location is perfect for enjoying the beach and nearby attractions. Weāre excited to come back and see the progress. Itās already a hidden gem.

We just stayed here for Memorial Day weekend and it was possibly the best experience we have ever had camping. They have been making a lot of improvements but have still maintained the classic feel this place has always had. They have kayak rentals and dinners cruises/ fishing charters coming soon. Whether you want shade all day or a spot right on the water they have something for you and the new bath house is unbelievable. This was our second time staying here and will definitely be back. Highly highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible! We stayed here last year for Memorial Day before all of the upgrades. We enjoyed it then, but agreed updates were needed. We had followed along with the progress through social media, but, wow, you have to see it in person! To see the hard work that everyone was putting in as they put finishing touches on welcoming everyone for a busy weekend was incredible. The new bathhouse will make you want to remodel your own at home! And the upgrades to the dock! Kayaks, sandy beach with chairs, and more! We are thrilled about the upgrades and are very much looking forward to coming back!

I usually rent the front lots next to the water. You can see the beautiful sunsets from there. Plus it's close to the dock, where I usually stay up all night fishing. The fishing is usually good during the warm months. This park is a nice little hide away that's hard to get a reservation at most of the time, becouse it stays busy. It's close to the main beach, stores , restaurants and bars. You can visit Fort Morgan that's a few minutes down the road or take a ferry boat ride to Dauphin Island.

Spent part of our vacation here in September and this place deserves 6 stars in my opinion. The RV Park is not luxury if that is what you are looking for but if you want friendly hosts, quiet neighbors, and great fishing from a nice covered pier then this is it. Sue and Rob are about as down to earth as you can find, no silly expectations or rules. As long as you are respectful and courteous you will not be bothered. Our site was right on the Bay and if we had it to do over we would have stayed here our entire trip instead of splitting our week at another park in Destin. We will be back!

Small quaint quiet park. Nice fishing pier. About 10 minutes from town. Very friendly campers.

My husband & I just returned from a nice relaxing stay at this place. We loved the relaxed atmosphere here. Sue & Captain Rob were very kind & helpful. We loved the pier. You could fish off the lighted pier at night for bait fish. If you are looking for swanky, then no, this is not your place. But we were happy with our visit. If you need to do laundry, it's free! Just bring your own detergent. We are already booked to stay again next year... Kevin & Janet

We had a wonderful weekend for my wifeās birthday. This campground was exactly what we expected and were looking for. It is āoff the beaten pathā it is not in the hustle and bustle of gulf shores and the loud party crowd. We liked going to town then getting away from the noise to our quiet campsite. The folks that run it are kind and helpful without being obtrusive. The dock is amazing and they even added lights to attract bait fish while we were there. I didnāt catch much but Iām new to brackish water fishing. The sites are pretty level and hookups were within good reach. A little over grown in some spots like the dog park but I didnāt care the bay view sites like ours which was 11 are amazing. The bay front sites were kinda small but each had a table and fire ring and everyone is pleasant so who cares if youāre close. Our camper is tiny and Iām a big guy so I donāt use our shower or toilet so the only down side and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathrooms. They arenāt horrible but no AC means your wet even after drying off but it wasnāt a huge deal. The water pressure was great. Iād ask if they could put some shower shelves or something in the showers so you can put your stuff in the shower with you instead if the bench outside and Iād ask they put hooks in the bathroom stalls to hang stuff on while using the restroom but other than that itās not the worst bathrooms Iāve been in. Iād say spend a little to put at least a window unit and those other small conveniences in and Iād give 5 stars. Long story short we will be back for sure. Weāre talking about making that our yearly ālongerā trip. Thanks for the memories.

This is a small RV park on Mobile Bay in Fort Morgan (west of Gulf Shores). It has 34 sites. There is a long pier for fishing. There is a small clubhouse, laundry and there are clean restroom facilities. The park is definitely not luxury, but is great as a base to explore the Lower Alabama area of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Perdido Key, Mobile, and Pensacola. It also is good for fishermen and boaters who want easy access to Mobile Bay. If you are not looking for luxury but want a safe place to stay for awhile, this park is fine. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

We planned on staying here last year for Christmas, but our RV dealer blew up our propane tank (and RV) a week before we were to leave. We had sent our deposit in and with a very heavy heart called to let them know we would not be able to make it. Sue Ludlow (park manager) offered to hold our deposit if we came down this year. Well, we made it this year, and true to her word deducted our deposit from the price. I don't know of many places that would do that. There are 34 level gravel lots, each has a picnic table and fire pit. there is water, sewer, and electric. This is a pet friendly park, with a fenced dog play area. We are on one of the "prime lots" looking out over Mobile Bay, literally out of our bedroom windows. There are orange trees where we able to pick the best tasting oranges ever. You are about 5 miles from the beaches of the Gulf. There are some full time residents and quite a few snow birds. For those with kids there really is not that many things to do here, but Gulf Shores is 10 miles away with MANY kid friendly places. We plan on coming back as often as we can. They also offer charter boat fishing out into the Gulf. I cannot say enough good things about his park or Sue and Rob Ludlow, This was my first time to see the ocean, and I was crying like a baby when we pulled in after all the problems last year and Sue came over and gave me a big hug and told me how happy SHE was that we made it. To me it says a lot!!!! - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
