Fort Pierce Downtown KOA Journey

Watch the Sun rise...Minutes away from the Atlantic ocean! Relax and enjoy the beach and downtown Fort Pierce, a historic port and inlet on the Treasure Coast of Florida. **Lodging is Available**

Welcome to the smallest KOA in the country. Our park is centrally located less than a mile from historic downtown Fort Pierce, and less than 2 miles from some terrific beaches.  A cozy gem of a park with minimalist appeal and an amazing area to explore.  There's free parking at most beaches, great food and museums, not to mention world class fishing.  With a view of the harbor from the park, there's always fresh ocean breeze, and a friendly smile waiting for you.  Local attractions include the nearby beaches, year-round farmers' market, marina, shops and restaurants. Anglers and boaters, and divers will enjoy a number of easy, free boat slips, and some of the best fishing, and diving on the East Coast. Visit the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. Doggies appreciate the Kamp K9. Max pull thru: 90 feet. Your hosts: Brian, Scott and Susan Bacher.

The downtown Fort Pierce area is only one mile south, where you can enjoy the year-round Greenmarket, sightseeing, unique shops and fun restaurants. If golf is your passion, practice your drive and putting with two neighboring courses. Next door, you'll find a supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and shopping. Enjoy waterfront dining at the marina across the street.

Relax in our spacious "Key West" style lodging. This one has its own washer and dryer!

And we look forward to opening a new park in the area in late 2019!

KOA managers and staff were very nice, helpful, and friendly. Our site was perfect for us. Very close to beaches. I like sites where are garbage is picked up daily. We camped at Fort Pierce Downtown KOA Journey in a Fifth Wheel.

charming little park but keep in mind it’s a KOA Journey in downtown Fort Pierce and means traffic and train noise. The park itself is very clean and seems to be maintained with care. Being a Journey, there aren't really amenities The sites are not the biggest, but you have plenty of room to put out your slides and awning. The sites are packed dirt and gravel, and each has a little brick paved patio with a picnic table. Our site had 20/30/50 amp service, water, sewer, and cable. The vast majority of sites are pull-thru, adding to the convenience of this park. While they provide Wi-Fi it was nonexistent in our spot towards the back of the park. So I would not rely on that. A KOA Journey is intended to be a quick stop, maybe 1 night, maybe 3, whatever your needs are. This park is close to Florida's Turnpike and Interstate 95 and convenient to RV dealerships in the area.

This is a beautiful campground in a convenient location. The staff (Gina) is excellent and accommodating. The picnic tables and patios are a real treat. Rarely do I find them this nice. They offer trash pick up. Their laundry is coin operated so come prepared. It is conveniently located with the beach, groceries, fuel, and restaurants near by. This location would have easily received 5-stars except it is not gated and is very close to a very noisy train track with horns blowing frequently 24/7. Also, there is a noisy car wash center next door and is loud during the daytime.

This is a tiny KOA with none of the usual amenities, so I thought the price was high. The staff is friendly. The biggest negatives are road noise, trains blowing their horns at all hours of the day and the car wash next to the campground. The positives are walking distance to Publix, short drive to Downtown Fort Pierce and the Seal museum. Our site was level but it was a trick to get Dish satellite reception due to the trees. There are some real jerks living there but they can be avoided. The camp cats are cute and friendly.
