This is a beautiful RV Park. This was our first year staying here for the winter season. We’re coming back next year! We looked at a lot of other parks just to explore options in Yuma while we’ve been here. Yeah…No comparison! Fortuna decorous is the best in town! Lots of amenities, always something to do, an easy drive to shopping, and a good location to go visit the surrounding areas. As far as the park itself: The main office, mail room, and activities office staff are super friendly and helpful. The maintenance folks do their very best to keep the park clean and functioning properly. (Example: The past few weeks in Yuma have been unseasonably hot and the park experienced a couple power outages due to a fairly full park and a lot of AC use. When the really hot weather hits, the park has far less of us snowbirds! The management jumped on it to get the electrician here to get power back up and running. Outages lasted roughly an hour. We were kept in the loop and given progress reports via email and Facebook. Well done, FDO!). Facilities are pretty darned clean for how many people constantly use them. Activities abound here! A bunch of folks play pickleball (VERY active group!) and golf on the really nice FDO course. Some play shuffleboard, do crafts, or just hang at the gym or one of the pools all day. Do what you want and then go enjoy music by the pool or in the saloon while eating any one of the amazing dinners. (And don’t get me started on Sergio’s pies!!!!! OMG!). Our dog loves the dog parks (there are 4 of them!). It’s safe to walk him, even at night. Just take a flashlight and watch for golf carts! Take a trip south of the border to Los Algadones. Go to the Yuma Rodeo. Visit the several farmers markets and the Arizona marketplace. Go shopping. Visit museums. So much going on! Yuma’s a pretty happening place! You can get as involved as you want here, or you can do your own thing. But, if you stay here and bored or unhappy…It’s your own fault!!! Can’t wait for next season!

The 3 stars are for the horrible practice of not taking united states currency. The "credit card" scam of tracking purchases is disgusting. United States currency is this countries currency it should be respected. Inducing citizens to use a credit contract with another entity is illegal but most have no clue.

FDO was recommended to us by next-door RVers when we were in the Salt River area of AZ. What we encountered was a pleasant surprise and we wished we could have stayed longer. This is a 55+ 5-star RV resort with ENDLESS activities and, can I say, everyone seems so damned happy here. Very engaged and active lifestyle options. The place is a combo of park models and long-term RV campers from all over the US and Canada. In fact, we were very happy to see all the Canadian flags flying as Canadians have very good reason to shun the U.S. right now. At any rate, look this place up. There's a ton of pickle ball courts, two pools, painting classes, stained glass, wood working, dancing, hiking, golf course, a really cute "saloon," live music. We could have stayed a month. The only issue we did have was the wireless/internet and cell services. It was as if we were in some strange vortex of NO signal. Even though our T-Mobile phones showed 5G UC (ultra capacity signal), we could not text, send photos, use our phone hot spot, make a call...nada. And the complimentary wifi is non-existent. More and more RV places assume we have our own WiFi (Starlink). We don't yet but after being here for a few nights and disconnected from any outside communication we will be buying on.

This is our first year staying at FDO and I can see why people keep coming back year after year. We are pickle ball players and they have 11 courts and activities for every level of play. The 9 hole golf course is fun to play and very reasonably priced. There are so many different activities to do, the pool areas are fantastic. We joined the hiking club and every Monday they take us to an amazing place with great views and some history of the area.

Yuma is a really interesting place for RV parks. There are many, and most of them vary in size from large to huge. Fortuna del Oro is probably one of the largest. The gated park has several amenities, including pool(s) hot tubs, golf, nightly music, a restaurant, pickleball courts, bocce ball, tennis, and shuffleboard. The facility is clean, up to date, and well kept. They have a large population of seasonal dwellers that visit Yuma to avoid their home state weather in the winter. All that said, I did not find them particularly good for a short four day stay. I had called and left a message, and tried their website to make a reservation before arriving, but never heard back so decided just to arrive and see what we could get. They do have pull throughs, but the spaces are short and tight, on a parking lot in front of the office, on pavement with little greenery, no tables, and very little space between rigs if they are full (Fortunately for us, they were not). The pull throughs are set up in “buddy” mode (Entrances of adjacent rigs face each other). The short stay location is immediately adjacent to the main entrance road which is very busy with golf carts, RVs, desert vehicles, cars, delivery vehicles, and RV Park operations vehicles. If the spot next to you is not occupied, residents feel no qualms about driving or walking right through, very close to your rig to dump their trash, or to take their dogs to the dog walk. The park is outside of town, so if you want to visit anywhere beyond the park, you will have to drive. I did feel quite safe due to the location on the edge of town, and it being gated. You will need to be completely self contained. They may have restrooms and showers for short term guests, but I never found them, and they certainly were not close to where we parked. The reason I give them three stars is their target clientele is seasonal visitors, and I just didn’t feel they appropriately accommodate short term or overnight guests, particularly for the amount they charge.

This is a 4.5 star RV parks with excellent activities and facilities (two pools, 11 Pickleball courts, a Saloon, a large main hall, a full-size 9-hole golf course, tennis courts, shuffleboard, poker, card and pool rooms, a softball field, live music & dances, etc., etc., etc....

Top of the line RV park in the foothills area. Offering many activities, welcoming staff. Ideal for a night passing through or for the winter visitor looking for a place to call home. There is something for everyone.

Stayed a couple months here it’s an awesome park Lots of Canadians there so you got that to deal with but it isn’t bad

New managent is going to manage to lose business. The stricter rules and less accommodations to patrons are making them less expensive. They will differently lose returning guests

I'm sorry but we are paying over $1100.00 to park our motorhome here. I requested the weeds in front which is on their lot around a palm tree also on their lot which they water. They proceeded to tell me it's a $60 maintenance fee to keep the weeds down again on their lot. So I guess I won't care how the lot looks

A lot of activities, off you get bored it’s because you choose not to be involved in any of them. Daily music, two pools, dance lessons, golf, restaurant and bar, woodworking shop, and many more things to do in the sunny Yuma weather.

Won’t be coming back. We called ahead of our arrival, booking a stay here. Guest services when making the reservation was lovely. Can’t say enough good things about Chelsey. We asked about the golf course before we booked here and were told it opened up the day before arriving and we could play the course. That’s the main reason we chose to stay here. First day here went great . Got to our site went over and played golf. Met some nice folks running the club house. Second day, went in to play golf and a different person, a tall very healthy lady informed my husband he was not allowed to play golf here. She proceeded to say the golf course here was for residents only! He told her that he had played the day before with no problem and that we were Cal-am owners in Gold Canyon AND we are paying residents here. She then said NO, scolded him for not wearing a name badge & he had to have one on while on property?! She told him he was not welcome and kept mouthing off like a chihuahua so he left. What a B!! We will NEVER come back here!!!!

Many amenities at this park and you sure pay for them. If you don't have a golf cart you have to drive to them. For us this park is too big with over 1000 sites. Many model homes and our RV was difficult to back in the tight site.
