Fossil Valley RV Park

Very pleased with our weekend here. Blake was easy to work with and we had a good time. Place was a little hard to find at first but once in the park it was very nice. Shade was good, parking easy, and overall very pleasant. We will be back next year.

Very nice RV campground in the heart of Vernal. Walking distance to many things. Super friendly and helpful staff. Sites are shaded by big beautiful trees, which great and hard to find these days. Gravel but level sites. Nice grass at every site. No entrance gate but felt perfectly safe here. Campground is very quiet despite being mostly full and on a busy road. Hook ups worked well. Entrance is a bit bumpy. Definitely recommend a stay here if you like being in the heart of things.

We received a warm reception from the nicest man. We didn’t have a reservation and he told us to just pick the spot we wanted and let him know the number. He provided all kinds of local information to the park and restaurants and genuinely seemed happy to tell us all about them. We picked our spot where a sign saying “taken” was placed and we went about the afternoon exploring. When we returned we settled right in without issue. The showers and bathrooms were extremely clean. I didn’t check out the laundry, but assume the same. The showers take quarters (he gave us some to cover that) and there’s definitely some road noise, but it’s in town. I’d be happy to stay again.

We had a quick stop in Vernal but because of Blake are definitely coming to spend more time in the park when we come back through Utah! The owners helped us with a last minute same-day reservation, and when we arrived, Blake greeted us with a truly genuine smile and conversation. We very much enjoyed chatting with him about our travels and he even remembered our names the next day! We wish we could have stayed longer, but did extend for another day just to enjoy the park a bit more. It’s an adorable park to stop and enjoy lots of trees and shade right in town. It’s not far at all from grocery stores, restaurants, and downtown Vernal. We loved that most of the spaces were pull through and they really made the most out of the lot without making everyone feel cramped, as each one had a bit of grass and space between. While we didn’t use the facilities while we were there, we did see that everything was clean and well maintained. We just want to give a huge thank you again to Blake! You made our stay memorable, even though it was short. We can’t wait to come back and see you again!

🌲 5-Star Google Review in Poem Form 🌲 For a Charming RV Park in Vernal, Utah Nestled near Vernal, not far from the road, We found a sweet haven, a peaceful abode. With tall trees above and the soft canyon breeze, We camped in the shade of those whispering trees. The host, dear Blake, what a welcoming soul— Warm as the sun and kind-hearted and whole. He guided us in with a smile so wide, Made sure we were comfy and fully supplied. The showers were spotless, the bathrooms pristine, With laundry machines that were sparkling clean. It’s rare on the road to find places so neat, Where comfort and care so graciously meet. Close to the town, yet quiet and still, This park had a charm that no hotel could fill. So here’s to the trees, and Blake, and the breeze— A restful retreat with all the right keys. Five shining stars, we gladly bestow, To the best little RV park we’ve come to know.

Shady spaces, pull through and back-in available. A little hard to spot the entrance, just look for the big yellow sign out front. Guy welcomes you is amazing, super friendly and knows all the good things to do around town. Bathroom, showers, and laundry onsite. grocery store across the street. convenient location.

Small pk about 50 sites, most pull thru's, 30 & 50 in each, FHU. Some permenants in there but pk is very clean, nice level gravel sites, friendly owner, at check-in was told to just pick a site he would come around later to see which one we picked. When he came by asked how everything was, my husband asked him if he could hose off bottom of MH, he said sure no problem it'll water the grass, There was nice grass between sites, site was roomy, pd $38 with GS disc. & tax. We would stay here again. The pk now is in center of town next to O'Reileys Auto Parts & across street from Golden Corral Rest. Owner said pk was once at end of town but town has since been built up all kinds of shopping around there. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group

We stayed in Vernal at an in town friendly park that was way more reasonable than the KOA and since we are riding and visiting places every day, we don't use anything but the full hookups and the site space. Site was long enough for both 36 foot toy hauler and truck. Did have to let tailgate down in the road, but it was not a problem for anyone in the park, and the angle was great for unloading and reloading. Each site has picnic table and shade which was very nice. Bath house and laundry but no pool, playground etc. The town has grown up around the park. The two outside rows are back ins and looked like used by seasonal or long term. The inside two rows are pull thrus and mostly used by travelers. Vernal was a good base for Flaming Gorge and both parts of Dinosaur National Monument (Dino bones in UT, canyons in CO). - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
