Fountain Creek RV Park

Overview

Fountain Creek RV Park offers a practical and welcoming base for travelers exploring the Pikes Peak region. Located on the western edge of the city, this family-owned park provides a no-frills, reliable environment that prioritizes convenience and accessibility. It serves as an ideal launchpad for those who want to be close to the action without the high-pressure atmosphere of a massive resort. The park's layout is straightforward, focusing on providing a clean, quiet place to rest after a day of sightseeing.

Location & Surroundings

The park’s greatest asset is its position between downtown Colorado Springs and the historic charm of Manitou Springs. Situated along the Fountain Creek corridor, the park provides a sense of transition from urban life to the rugged beauty of the Rockies. Being near Old Colorado City, guests are within a short drive to eclectic shops, local art galleries, and diverse dining options. The surrounding landscape is defined by the looming presence of Pikes Peak, creating a dramatic backdrop for your stay.

Amenities & Park Features

Travelers will find essential comforts designed to make life on the road easier. The park features full hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp service to accommodate various rig sizes. Standard amenities include clean restrooms, private showers, and on-site laundry facilities which are vital for long-term travelers. For entertainment during downtime, the park offers cable TV and wireless internet access. The sites are primarily level gravel pads, arranged to maximize utility while keeping the focus on functionality and ease of access for larger vehicles.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The park is perfectly situated for outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Just minutes away, you can explore the towering red rock formations at Garden of the Gods Park, which is a must-see landmark. For those seeking adventure, the Pikes Peak Cog Railway and the Cave of the Winds are just a short drive up the road. Additionally, the nearby Midland Trail offers opportunities for hiking and biking, while local museums provide a deep dive into the rich mining and pioneer history of the region.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for active sightseers who plan to spend their days exploring the local attractions rather than staying inside the campground. It is a fantastic choice for families and couples who value a centralized location and prefer being near urban conveniences like grocery stores and restaurants. If you are looking for a secure, friendly, and well-located spot to park your rig while you cross off your Colorado bucket list, this park provides the perfect home base for your mountain adventures.

Close to amazing places: Garden of the gods, Red Rock Open Space, and of c, Pike’s Peak, to name a few! This quaint campground is between to a tree-lined section of Fountain Creek and Cimmaron Ave (not too noisy). The staff and residents are friendly. Overall, a great value!

A bit worn, but clean. Fenced property. Noisy from roads on both sides. Good value for the area. Pleasant staff.

Absolutely the worst RV Park Campground in Colorado Springs. Traveling through, been here since mid March and staying here for a couple more months. My friend rents a space and has for some time now. Now I do not pay them and I admit, using the showers. Never took advantage or misused the facility, and never gave out their code. After this evening.... Beware people.... Never walk up on a vehicle. Especially not knowing the unknown. Never try to block a vehicle and I advise not following a vehicle. Today's world could get a person SHOT and/or KILLED.. Not smart thinking.... The RV park Seriously need some updating, the bathrooms are dirty, hair left in the shower drains & toilet's are dirty, Numerous of homeless in and out at any giving hours of the day & night. Stealing, make noise and acting crazy. RV Park owners should be more attended to their surroundings. And there dog shouldn't follow the unknown. Crazy World
