Owners and hosts are very friendly and nice. Peaceful place to stay. Deer, geese, turkey and other wildlife walk around, loved seeing them. They even have a pond to fish in (catch and release). Loved having a dog park on the property. There is also a huge park across the street. Price is very reasonable. Loved it there.

Would stay again passing through the area. PROS: +Full hookups, no problems with electric. +Amenities: laundromat ($1.50), propane, showerhouse (kept locked?) +Ambience: gravel lots but well maintained, pond and farm-style structures. -Mature tree shade and full sun spots available. -Friendly, good communication. -Park easy to navigate. CONS: -Price nightly. A bit high (over $40) for area but it's a nice little town and neighborhood. -Path to the park is through neighborhoods in either direction. Nothing can be done about that but be forewarned to drive carefully slow.

I can’t express how grateful I am for being able to stay at this campground. I live in Tennessee, but my dad lives in Colp, Il. He was diagnosed with end stage cancer, and I wanted to be near him to help with his care. When I called to see if they had any open spaces it was during the busy season, and the owner Lisa told me they were booked up. I told her my situation and asked her to recommend other campgrounds near them. The only campground I could find, was 45 minutes away from my dad. I was about to get a campsite there, and Lisa called me back. She had done some moving, and made room for me. It was such a blessing, as I was only 7 minutes from my dad. She didn’t have to do that, but she went out of her way to help me. Once we got there, we were greeted my April and Frank, the property managers. They were super friendly, and helped us get set up. It was our first time using our new fifth wheel, and there were many issues that we needed help with. After settling in, I began to go back and forth between staying at the campground and at my dad’s house. April and Frank watched over our camper while I was away, and were always there for whatever I needed (even if it was a friendly smile or an encouraging word). They were just what our family needed, during the difficult time we were facing. We will definitely stay there again, and we will not hesitate to recommend them to others.
