Friendly staff that keep the campground clean and in order. It does get very crowded Friday though Sunday, so there was lots of campfire smoke at night. Staff do not tolerate loud noise after 10pm. Overall, pleasant experience.

As always, we had a fantastic time this past week at Frandy!!! Everyone there goes out of their way to make you feel very welcome. The campground is decorated in red white and blue, making you proud to be an American. Campground is always clean along with the facilities, Beverly, Sue and Tony are awesome. Can’t wait to go back!

Great campground some spots have the river behind them with and little bit of a walk like 1 minute but pretty quiet.

This is something we never thought we’d be writing after coming to Frandy for so many years. Some of us have been coming here for 30 years, and others for 10–15 years. This has always been more than just a campground trip for our families, it’s been a tradition, memories with our kids, friends, and years of looking forward to the same weekend together. Sadly, this year felt like watching something we’ve loved for decades completely lose what made it special. The biggest disappointment wasn’t even the campground itself, it was the way people were treated. Long-time loyal customers were spoken to with a level of disrespect that honestly left us shocked. We weren’t treated like returning guests who had supported this place for years; we felt like we were an inconvenience. After decades of coming here and bringing countless families and business over the years, to be treated that way was frustrating and honestly pretty sad. The campground itself has noticeably gone downhill as well. Bathrooms weren’t consistently maintained, the overall experience felt neglected, and the atmosphere that once made Frandy feel fun and family-oriented just wasn’t there. The place that used to feel welcoming now feels more like it’s being run with an “our way or the highway” attitude due to one specific individual, the owner, Beverly. What’s most disappointing is that Kernville is still beautiful and our group still had a great time because of each other, not because of Frandy. The only reason this trip was saved was by the people we came with. We left talking less about the fun memories we made and more about how disappointed we were with the campground experience itself. After decades of loyalty, we never thought we’d seriously consider going elsewhere, but after this experience we absolutely will be. There are too many other campgrounds nearby to spend hard-earned money somewhere that makes loyal customers feel unwanted.

1st time there I already knew I’d be a frequent camper 🚐 Though I didn’t have kids with me, it is very kid/family oriented, not to mention the town/shops, etc, is all within walking distance, just walk across the bridge. The flowing river itself gives you a sense of calm. You need to check it out! Only 😫, no WiFi 🤨. Enjoy!!!

Great experience for our first time. Well we did show up on a Monday and stayed until Wednesday so we had the campground to ourselves 😁 showers were great and all the wildlife around us was entertaining 😊😀

It's great to camp in Kernville by the kern river. White water rafting and white water tubing right outside the gate. Store and bars and pizza close by. We weren't happy with no lights/music policy but it all worked out. All in all, great place to hang.

Tent campground no firepits with a grill to cook . Not enough showers , not enough toilets, portable toilets were dirty, not clean regularly. Very dusty, it could be improve. and better maintained

Have been going to Frandy for several years because of its location to Isabella Lake and it's family friendly environment. The staff are friendly and the spaces are large enough to accommodate most RVs. Yes it's in the middle of Kernville but that's a good thing if you're new to camping or just don't have all the gear to boondock. The only negatives are the dust, wind and early summer cottonwood flying around. They did try to cut down on some of the dust by putting down wood chips on the main roads around all the sites but for some reason they didn't put it down on the lower bowl sites (#26-31). We deal with it by bringing really large tarps and weighing stuff down with sand bags. Nothing you can do about the cotton except to find a place by the river and spend your day there or at the lake. If you don't want to tent there are the Wagons or local RV rentals company that will drop an RV on to your site.

My anticipation for this place was sky-high. Glowing reviews, stunning images, and a pristine online appearance set my expectations soaring. Arriving promptly at 8:00 pm, the initial moments seemed promising despite the three-hour drive. However, the cracks began to show as I settled in for the night. Issues surfaced with the campground's operation, treating it more like a luxury resort with wristbands, car inspections, and an array of fees for basic amenities. Want to use the fire pit? Upgrade to a "premium site." Looking to fish? Opt for a riverfront spot. The real ordeal began at dawn when I ventured to the river for some fishing. Passing through what appeared to be an empty campsite, I was accosted by an individual claiming ownership, hurling profanities and threats. Even mentioning their connection to a staff member, they demanded I leave. Ignoring the confrontation, I started fishing, only to be confronted by staff accusing me of rule-breaking. Despite showing the vacant spot with no sign of occupancy, I was scolded and shown no leniency. Returning from fishing, I observed the staff member, possibly named Joyce, granting special treatment to the aggressive camper, with personalized signage and a falsified plaque indicating occupancy. Photos later confirmed the favoritism, with site 1 vacant and site 2 monopolized by the favored camper. You can actually see in the pictures the regular plaques vs the forged one she put up. My experience at this supposed gem turned sour due to mismanagement, favoritism, and a disregard for paying customers. I left within 20 hours and just checked in at the local hotel. Shame on you Frandy Park.

We had a delightful and enjoyable experience during our one-night stay in our tent. The friendly staff's behavior upon arrival, the captivating nature, the cleanliness of the environment, the abundance of firewood beyond imagination, the opportunity to make a bonfire, the provision of a table and chairs next to the riverbed, and... In summary, everything necessary for a memorable camping experience was present for me, my spouse, and our cat in this lovely environment. We highly recommend it to you.

LOVED IT!! We were in space 26. Our camping spot was about 20 ft from the river. Yes there is a city park on the other side of the river, but it is still nice. There's little man made shallow pools for kids to swim in on the side of the river. The river itself in this part of the river has a fast current for rafting, just bring swimming shoes because the rocks are sharp and slippery. Only one building of bathrooms in the entrance of the park and they are kept clean. They have porter potties throughout the campground. Campground office sells firewood and ice. The attendants of the campground are friendly and courteous. There's all sorts of businesses outside of the campground, even a grocery store. Overall I think the campground is located in a great spot.
