Beautiful park with a lovely lake view, and the bridge across the water leading to Memorial Island is especially scenic. It’s a peaceful place to stop and enjoy nature. However, the warning signs about alligators and snakes made it a bit intimidating to actually walk the trails. The kids’ playground looks quite old and could use some maintenance and updates. Also, there is a $5 entrance fee per person. Overall, it’s a nice spot with great scenery, but there is definitely room for improvement.

I explored a new State park in Alabama. This was a drive by that I did. I was a little busy looking for buying a new house here in Alabama that this State park was near. I noticed they can handle 30 RV spots. With water and sewer and 50 amp service plug-in. Very clean surrounding with many walking trails. Many amenities here, playgrounds, large showers rooms, fishing, boat launch, primitive camping. This where your kids can play and run themselves out. Cabins available too. Golf carts excepted. Not sure about ATVs. Check out some of pictures. You won't be disappointed.

This is a beautiful park! There’s no attendant when I entered the park, but there’s a small box by the shed door where you can drop your park fee in exact change only. There’s a wheelchair accessible restroom by the parking lot near the playground area/picnic area.

Great place to go for a walk. Also camping, fishing and a playground for kids with BBQ spots.

Stopped here for a picnic lunch on the way to Florida. Very clean park and restroom facilities. Nice lake and walking trails from the picnic area to an island. Maybe a 0.75 mile loop.

Frank Jackson’s is a nice place for relaxing and unwinding. WiFi is provided and it makes all the difference with streaming shows and ball games. Unfortunately, the children’s park is a good distance from the campsites, so keep that in mind if you have kiddos that want to play independently. The views are great for the RV sites along the lake, with decent shade for the majority of those sites. There are a few sites on the backside of the campground, that aren’t shaded at all and do not have lake views, but you’re close to the bathroom and bathhouse, which is large and kept tidy. However, the bathroom that’s located in the tent camping section, is super sketch, but it serves its purpose. Side note: don’t bother going to the DG Marketplace on Main St. Our encounters have been less than pleasant, even for the simplest of purchases.

Located in Opp, AL, Frank Jackson state park has 32 full hookup RV sites around a large lake. The park has a separate area for boat launch. They have a separate shower and dump station. Highly recommend

This was our first camping trip in our first camper back in 2021. It was a nice small park, quiet and very relaxing. It's clean, you can fish from the bank at most of the campsites. They do have cabins you can rent or tent sites too.

We just got here yesterday at check-in time at 2:00. Our 1st full day is just starting. So far, it is very peaceful. It is beautiful here. The back in sites are very easy to back into. We will definitely be back.

It grew on me. Very peaceful. Beautiful lake. Many different trails to hike and to enjoy nature. Great service as well. Very accesible to stores, gas station, etc.

Huge lake with an island in the middle, accessible by bridge. We fished off the dock, shore, and bridge and didn't get a single bite. We did, however, see a bunch of turtles sunbathing on lily pads.

Stunning campsite. Well kept trails. No problems with bridges like some earlier review mentioned. Repairs have been made. Water in campsite bathrooms was only lukewarm so showering was very uncomfortable.
