We have not stayed in the rooms but they are all being renovated. The campground is great, well run and right in town.

We had booked site 41 for 4 nights (Starting a Thursday of a long weekend). When we showed up with our campervan they had given our site to someone else. They did offer us a site that was NOT on the river. It was a complete disappointment for our long weekend. Thank goodness for Ontario Provincial Parks. I would never reserve again at this campground.

I visit Northbay every summer and for the past 7 years have stayed here. I pitch a tent and love that the location is close to every amenity I could possibly need, and within walking distance. There's even a value village that I've gone to get a sweater from when the temp dropped suddenly! The pool is clean, the campsites are quiet, and it has a laundry room. I've even watched as the owners make improvements every year. This year they had redone the flooring in the bathrooms and showers and its a great improvement. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. Another perk of staying here is the small conservation area across the street that had a beach so you don't have to go far to get to the lake. I'll return to this place every summer. While its not a "high end" camp ground its quaint, clean, affordable and suits my needs. Most times I don't even make a reservation, I just show up and they accommodate me. Great little spot!
