Camped here 4/11/2025. Beautiful setting right off Paradise Road. The host is nice. It wasn’t too buggy but there were lots of mosquitoes at dusk. Trash, water, and recycling were good. The campground was quiet. The host sells wood, $10 per bundle. The bathrooms are closed and porta potties are setup instead. The porta potties are clean but, still, there should be good serviceable bathrooms at all of the campgrounds along this road — I don’t think any of the campgrounds had useable restrooms with flush or pit toilets. Most sites are somewhat sloped — not the worst, not the best. Ample space between sites is nice. This part of the Santa Ynez Valley and river is very beautiful, especially in the spring. All-in-all a nice campground in a beautiful part of CA with facilities that have seen better days. Your tax dollars hard at work barely keeping the public facilities in working order!

Beautiful and clean campgrounds for the true outdoors man. 💰 Cost $40 per day or $80 for a double site 🚗 Parking free for 1 car and $10 per car per day 💧 No natural water here but there is nearby. There are spickets here but plan to bring your own water. 🌳 Plenty of Shade from the trees 🐍 Past reviews say rattlesnakes can often be found at the base of the trees ☣️Poison Oak is plentiful nearby but the grounds are cleared of any 🚻 Restrooms 🗑 Trash on-site Reservations recommended. 2-day minimum online. Group sites available. Campgrounds easily booked out so schedule ahead. On-site Manager, Sunny, was very friendly and familiar with the area.

The campground has a lot of nice tree coverage. It's definitely a worn campground, but ok, if you just need a place to sleep. The table tops are not clean, so be sure to have wet wipes on hand. The bathrooms are portable potties and are fairly clean. At night is when the campground is best. It gets really dark and quiet about an hour after sunset. The morning rise is really nice for the only noise you hear are birds chirping away. There's a wild turkey that roams around and is pretty friendly. For the cost of $40.00, I've stayed in nicer ones for less cost. But hey, it served the purpose. I would recommend it and would stay there again to see the turkey.

Been planning this trip for a while and it did not disappoint. Pros: beautiful area. Lots of wildlife, we saw wild turkeys and heard frogs and owls at night. Plenty of space in each site and the sites are spread out so you don't feel like you're on top of each other with your campsite neighbors. Lively enough but people are generally respectful of being quiet late at night. Dog friendly! Has picnic table, fire pit, bench, bbq and plenty of shade trees. Very close to things to do such as the beach, Solvang etc, camp hosts were friendly and made sure to clean each site between guests. Cons: biggest complaint I have is that the restrooms were closed and the only available toilets were porta pottys. I know that's a covid thing but the porta pottys were absolutely rancid. I had to cover my face to keep the smell down and still physically gagged. No toilet paper either. Another thing and it's not really the campgrounds fault but it was a huge shock in temperature from the beach to the campsite. If I had to guess I'd say 20 degrees more hot. We set up the tent quickly and went back to the beach until evening. So just be aware. Keep in mind there's lots of poison oak to avoid and no cell reception. Not a big deal but just so you know.
