A nice, clean, spacious campground! It's new and they definitely took notes on how to plan out a space for many to enjoy. There are many positive things to say none of which are more important than the ADA inclusive physical features that open camping up to more people. I've never seen an equestrian accessible ramp before and there is one here! Paths around the campsite are flat and all their bathhouses have signs that show wheelchair accessible.

We stayed here this past weekend and we loved it. It was so well kept, the staff at the gate were friendly and the site had everything we needed. The bathrooms were clean, showers were hot and there was even a nice sink to do dishes! Highly recommend staying here. It was well located as well with just a short drive to Keene Valley for some great hikes!

One of, if not, the nicest DEC campground you will visit. The sites are well maintained by the attentive staff and the bathroom/shower facilities are the cleanest around. We stay here multiple times during the season and have never had a bad stay. The equestrian and stagecoach loop have electric hookup. However, all sites, including the tent sites, can accommodate most RV sizes. Plenty to do around the area and there is a wonderful brewery right outside the entrance. The dump station area is always clean and there is plenty of room to get your RV in and take care of business. Kudos to the leadership at the campground for making it such an enjoyable visit every time!

Great campground for RVs! Quiet, clean, flat site, and great trails. Video attached is the entrance driving in.

I read the other reviews that were harsh on the planning of this campground but they were mostly about horses that I have 0 knowledge about. We car-camped here on our way to the whiteface mountains (1 hr from here). I would give it a 5 of 5 for our stay. There were employees at the front office when we checked in just before 9pm which gave us confidence. Restrooms were very clean and closer to each campsite. The campsite we booked was drive-in. There were other sites that were walk-in as well, so if you are planning to do car camping, you need to pay attention on this. The campsite was very good and clean too. There was a small playground as well. The place was good for stargazing as well.

Came for Columbus Day weekend. Check in was easy. Facilities are super clean. So far every employee we encountered has been professional and pleasant. Beautiful campground. This weekend there was no issues with people not respecting quiet hours. Kids loved the main playground. But thought the others were geared towards kids much younger. All in all highly recommended.

I spent 2 night here and was very impressed with a lot of the campground. it had very nice restroom facilities and the RV sites with electric were large and a good distance from the next site. I ride motorcycles and the park staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about what roads would be a nice ride(meaning twisty in my case) Now comes the part that was not so good! I can see why the equestrian people would be upset , no space between sites ,no trees , only pea gravel for their horses to stand on in stalls with no separation. I was told that the horse people were consulted about the needs but it appears their input was ignored. The tent area (area without electric)is very pretty and had sites as spacious as the RV sites and what seems odd is the fact that a few had hookups for electric vehicle charging but no hookup for an RV or even a small refrigerator for some one in a tent.

Last minute trip north on the motorcycles & decided to see what this campground was like. Very friendly and welcoming staff at the gate and a smooth walk in / check in process. All of the sites are large, clean, level and well maintained. The firm, level gravel base was perfect for the motorcycles. No chance of sinking in mud or struggling to find a safe parking angle. A large, sand base tent pad was comfortable and dry. (Even with all of the rain we’ve had this summer!) Some of the new vegetation between sites is still growing, but there is plenty of space between sites. Bathrooms were clean and … graffiti FREE!! There is a well maintained, accessible path around the campground with several spots & picnic tables available to enjoy the Schroon River. The Ranger was very friendly & knowledgeable, and interested in any feedback re motorcycle camping at their facility.

Hands down the nicest, cleanest campground I have had the pleasure to stay at. Beautiful walking trails, super clean facilities. Great Staff, both kind and friendly. The only thing I would change is the amount of time I stayed there, a weekend, was not nearly long enough. Thank you!

Went visited for the day. Fun little playground - kids liked it very much. Looks like it's great for people with horses (cool to see that!). There are gravel trails for biking/walking. Campsites look private and wooded. Not crowded. Everything newly built. Near cool activities!
