Good place to go and enjoy fishing

Stayed here the month of April, while working in the area. Was told bath house would be open, It wasn't for the first week. Had to track down the owner to get bath house unlocked. Bath house looks nice on outside, very unkept inside. Showers were warm at best with the bath house being unheated and cold. Each shower head presenting its own issue, shower doors don't stay closed, shower sprays into dry area, etc. The owner or manager would not respond to phone calls/text or answer door at the office/home. Tried several times as there were four of us staying there. We were told he would get us a water tank for camper shower and empty gray/black water tanks. That never happened and Andrew would not respond to calls/text for either. The only time we were able to speak with him, he happened to be pulling into his driveway as we were coming in. Weren't even able to connect to pay when leaving. Camping lots were decent, trash was not emptied the entire time we were there, all trash cans we encountered were packed full. I have experience with several campgrounds, I would not recommend this one.

This place use to be great but recently it has gone way down hill. First, the lakes are horrible, they are not maintained at all, people have recommended shocking them for a few years and no one listens. You would think with all the water and area the fish population could self sustain but that is not the case here. You can fish all weekend all hours and not catch anything. You would have better luck catching a turtle since they are over populated here. Next, the staff doesn't seem to care about who they let in, day pass people and seasonal/permanent spot campers. There has been an influx of people being allowed to get spots just for simply paying. They are rude, obnoxious, and lets just say it, complete trash! Refunds should be given and told just to leave otherwise the good campers will all soon be gone and you will have Law Enforcement out there regularly. Lastly the new host that is out there is overwhelmed with the job. Garbage cans over flowing and not being dumped, tree limbs laying all over, port-a-potties not being taken care of, and shower house and bathrooms constantly filthy.

If you want to come here and fish, just don't. Fishing has declined over the years, and every year management changes. There is increasingly more snobby and loud campers, and everywhere has become private. Lakes are usually trashed with waste by those same people. Only changes ive seen over the past decade is more private access signs and road signs put up. Rates keep increasing while benefits go down. It wasnt always like this. Dont waste your time coming here.

A beautiful place to camp! Quiet & peaceful! So many deer that you can't go an hour without see some. The wildlife is amazing! The set up of the individual campsites is perfect!! Not too close! You have privacy. Everybody seems to be friendly as well!

It was Labor Day weekend and we couldn’t find anywhere to camp until I came across this place and I’m very glad I did. It wasn’t busy at all we had the camp sight to ourselves one night and shared it with one other group the second night. We had a spot right next to the lake with 2 tables and a fire pit. There is a port-a-potty close to the camp grounds and might I add that it’s the cleanest port-a-potty I’ve ever seen. There’s is also a bathroom and shower house a little farther away. There was also a powered pavilion close by as well. They give you a key card to get in and out of the grounds through a gate which is nice and makes you feel somewhat secure. There is a Casey’s General store 5 mins away in St. Davis and a decent sized town of Canton where they have just about anything you would need. We have Sprint-T-Mobile cell service and our phones worked good. I also would like to mention John Young, he was the guy who took our phone call when we called and checked us in after hours. He was friendly, helpful, and available if we needed him for anything, great service and great campground. I defiantly recommend this place and we will defiantly be back here in the future.

Peaceful, calm, fishing is good. A place to sit back and relax or just enjoying the outdoors and getting to see and hear the Wildlife

I have been camping off and on at this beautiful campground for over 15 years, the last 2 years as a seasonal camper. The new management team is awesome, they really care about the park and the people. Shower house is kept clean and the grounds. This is a wildlife haven, and the manager helps protect the environment. We will definitely continue camping and visiting!!
