Take a step back in time and slow down for a bit. I was first taken to Fun Valley as a small child and I take my kids now. Truly a resort where my husband and I can relax while the kids run and have a great time playing at the rec hall, paddle boating, fishing, riding bikes & riding the train. Oh I’m already so ready to return next summer.

This is the most kid friendly RV park I have ever been. They have a lazy river that runs through the grounds that you can tube anytime, with either your own tube or a rental. At the end of the river there’s a small swim area that’s shallow enough for small kids. They have so many activities for kids, paddle boating, mini golf, arcade, 2 playgrounds, sand pit, fishing pond. Kids can bike around the grounds freely. Golf carts are a great idea if you don’t have a bike since the place is large and showers are far away if you don’t have one in your RV or have a very small one like we do.

We stayed in the loft cabin and would highly recommend. Very clean and apartment grade living. The cabin was right on the river, so our daughter was always close by and still able to adventure by herself. Amazing to have laundry, grocery, and restaurant access when needed. Excellent service across the board and will be coming back.

My husband and I just spent a week at fun valley...we enjoyed the camping area we was at, the beautiful scenery, smell of the pines. So much to do at the park: tubing, miniature golf, fishing, game room, etc..many things for kids and families to do if they choose...the valley grill was amazing, we ate there a few times and our food was great and prices were comparable to any place else..the grocery store had everything needed and at good prices...we used the laundry facilities there and was very pleased. The friendly staff through out the park. The gift shop was way more then expected and had so many neat things...Above all this park was very friendly atmosphere and fun inexpensive time...The only thing that I felt could be better was that the train needed to be available for the tubers....My husband and I had to walk from one end of park to other once we was done tubing and had to carry our tubes and never seen the train... I do like that it's dog friendly, we brought our dogs but maybe a dog park for the dogs would be a nice addition to the park...This was a very neat place all around and we do plan to visit again

First the positives, GREAT location, GORGEOUS park and facilities, beautiful ponds, clean and well kept, MANY things to do within the park itself, VERY kid friendly, wonderful ice cream and diner hall, pretty much everything in the website is true. If you like a place to go with a lot of activities ...this is the place. Fishing is wonderful and great for everyone. Second the negatives, staff can be a little short with you, I was greeted at the front desk with the words "are you checking in" ...seems to me a "hello welcome to Fun Valley" would have been nice. Folks in the diner a little pre-occupied with conversation than helping campground guest. There is a charge for EVERYTHING here. My son, who stayed with us for 3 nights (at his own campsite) checked out to go home and asked if he could leave his camper in the overflow lot while he and his wife explored Pagosa Springs for a few hours. They, the campground, said yes but charged him $5. Really? I know $5 is nothing but did they really need to collect $5? My family and I had 3 campsites and spent well over $1200 in campsites fees alone....Oh well. Over all we had a great time and enjoyed everything the park had to offer. I will return one day and have a great time.

Wait what only 4.3 stars? DUDE this place was the most epic place I have ever been to the scenery was so nice and tubing on the faumous Rio grande river was epic. The price was low and the lcal food was mouth watering, activities were on top from mini golf to simply paddleboating this is a highly recommended place and bring the family!

The new owners have invested alot to upgrade facilities and grounds while still maintaining a safe, relaxing, family-friendly, rustic mountain getaway. Keeping in mind that this place was built in the 1950’s, don’t come thinking you can park your tour bus with multi-side extensions in any old spot. Love this place for too many reasons to name. Great place for large family reunions!!!

Such a great RV park. What I Love: The. Views. The diverse RV spots from rustic, close to the river (mud included during rainy days) or rocked pavement (mud not included during rainy days) The nightly family shindigs hosted near the office. Ranging from karaoke to dance jams. Fire pits at many of the sites. The “Rec house” which hosts lots of core childhood memories. It’s like the game room from the movies. Pool tables, air hockey, games and more. The graveled/rocked spots were very spacious. The train is free and runs throughout the grounds daily until 5, weather permitting. The laundry room is spacious with lots of machines. The dryer runs on .25 for 8/10 minutes. Love that. Lots of fishing options. Putt-putt. Playgrounds. The security was there daily as you drive in. Made us feel safe. Lots of access to the river. Bring your own tube otherwise there’s a charge to rent tubes. What I don’t love: You pay for just about everything, except the train and river fishing. The countless ponds available require a daily pass to fish. Purchase a Colorado fishing license and fish the rivers. Cheaper and more fun. The ponds are crowded during the day. It would be nice if they came up with a coupon book or free pass for a minimum night stay. We stayed 5 nights, a free round of putt-putt, bike rental or meal voucher would be a nice incentive. There are only two shower rooms. The first one is dead in the middle of the tent camping and more “rustic” sites. Very busy. But the second shower house is nestled up toward the west side of the park, close to the mountain side. It’s a bit of a trek. We had scooters and were able to ride up when dry. But during the rainy days we took our truck. I should note the shower house toward the mountain was Very clean and well kept. Just a bit creepy as it was far from the main grounds. The food at the grill was your average grilled food. Just a bit expensive. Only AT&T cell service was close to the grill or on the second floor of the grill. Challenging when dealing with stuff from home but that isn’t really the resorts fault. You’re in the mountains, none the less. Overall it was a great stay! Very clean and well kept resort. We definitely return next summer!!

This was our first time at Fun Valley and we loved it! Our sites had plenty of space and backed up to the river. Very family friendly. Staff and security were kind and helpful. Lots of non-technology activities for both kids and adults. Definitely recommend.

First let me say we truly enjoyed our stay it's a beautiful spot in the Colorado Mountains. A few tips for the first timer that I wish I had know. Bring your own, we stayed in what they call the motel. A nice room with a kitchenette, but when the website says bring your own sheets they mean it, there were no sheets, no blankets, no towels. The kitchen had pans and plates, cups and bowls, no salt, no pepper, no oil, no coffee. They do have a grocery store with reasonable prices, about what you would pay at a convenience store so they don't gouge you. It was worth it though a gorgeous place, the staff were wonderful, the other vacationers were great, well worth the trip. I encourage you to try it out, we'll be back next year, and now that I know what to expect it'll be an even better time. Oh and it's a definite disconnect from the modern world. There's wifi in the office /snack bar area, every where else is a dead spot.
