We booked in a pinch when passing through on our eastern Canada roadtrip. If you want to camp in this part of NB, just know that this campground has no fire pits on site. They only have community fire pits. Because that is so much more fun isn't it? I've camped in 5 different national parks so far across 5 different provinces - Bruce Peninsula, Gros Morne, PEI NP, Cape Breton Highlands and this one. And this is the only national park campground I've come across with this sort of rule about fires, which feels even less appealing than county conservation area campgrounds in many cases. You're better off getting your parks Canada pass online and use their parking lots for the hikes and sight - seeing only and camp elsewhere. The other thing to note here is that the sites have minimal to no privacy. There are literally no boundary lines between campsites or even a bush and you are left wondering whether you are encroaching on your neighbour's site owing to the mish-mash of campsite layouts. I mean who designates a campsite where you can't be sure whether that's your site or the grass around the gravel path to the bathrooms. They also didn't have hot water at the dishwash station in mid-October. Don't get me wrong, the town of Alma is as cute as they come and the staff and maintenance of this park are excellent. The scenery is very pretty and the stairs from the campground to the town is a very nice tough. But better thought could have been put into it by Parks Canada when coming up with the policies for this park as well as design.

This is a great little campground that services all types of campers. They even have some yurt and otentik glamping options. Centrally located with friendly staff. Good clean comfort stations with hot showers. The location is busy all the time, even into the off-season weekends, so make sure to reserve ahead of time or at least check online. No site campfires but you can go to the communal one. No Wi-Fi in campground.

Great Staff and well kept campground even with all the campers in and out daily. Well done people! Loved that it was in walking distance to the town, docks and beach. The stairs up and down will give you a good workout though, whew!

Nice place to stay, if you will be catch up the Otentik - even better. Parking available for one vehicle on the site. One trail available right from the campground. Access to the bathroom and shower area is good, enough space for everyone.

Loved the campground! We had a pull-through site with full services, 30-amp power; site #24. We were across from a restroom / laundry. The rest rooms had laundry facilities - but just 1 washer and 1 dryer in each, but then never far away from your campsite. Staff was helpful. Location is good for doing the Fundy Coastal Drive (not part of the park). Also close to the village of Alma with restaurants and convenience store. Do your major shopping before you arrive.
