Great camping weekend at G&R campground. The cabins were cozy with modern features such as Heat/AC, personal bathroom, small kitchen space, eating table, two full size beds, and basic cable TV.

Came out this way for the Delaware State Fair. Got a spot (site 145) tucked back in the woods here. There are locals in trailers at the back sites of the park, which was kind of a detractor for charm in hopes of being a little more in the sticks, but had no real issues. Some late night chatter, but was running the camper AC anyways. Super neat is the little bar/restaurant which had a small crowd but big crowd happy vibe. Sang karaoke, played music bingo - that was cool. Even though there were only a few folks around, the waiter was super polite and professional. Really appreciated that. Came to find out a couple days later that it was the new owner! Servant leadership right there. Pool appeared very well-kept, as did the rest of the grounds. Also, they had a basketball at the basketball court, and a cornhole setup (missing a couple bags, but made due). I will say the RV sites could use some gravel as the ground was soft and a rainstorm dictated the need to readjust the stabilizers after settling, but minor inconvenience. I did smell chicken country, and it hit us pretty hard, but it didn't linger around the whole time. You'll be fine.

We booked all the cabins and a few more spots for a family reunion. An yes, we all had a very nice time. The only problem my wife and I had was getting locked out our room in cabin 11. The key didn't work so we had to keep using the combination pad to get in. The pool was nice for the family and the rooms were nice. We did our own cooking for the entire family for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kids went on a few hiking trails near by. A quiet and nice place to relax and enjoy time with our family. I would definitely do this again. We booked 3 days for our family reunion and enjoyed every minute of our time here. We sure did make our cabin feel more like home for our 3 grandchildren. Even got the bounce house here for them. To keep my Grandchildren busy. We truly enjoyed our stay. We wish we could have met the owners of this establishment. 👏👏👏
