Location & Surroundings

Situated along the shores of Hebgen Lake and near the banks of the Madison River, the park is surrounded by towering lodgepole pines. The landscape is defined by its proximity to the Madison Arm, offering guests easy access to water-based recreation and stunning mountain vistas. The elevation provides cool summer temperatures, making it a refreshing retreat during the peak travel months.

As a National Forest site, the amenities focus on the essentials of outdoor living. The park features:

  • Access to hand-pumped drinking water
  • Standard vault toilets located conveniently near campsites
  • Spacious sites with a picnic table and fire ring

While there are no electrical or water hookups available, the well-spaced sites offer plenty of shade and a sense of privacy rarely found in commercial parks. Most sites can accommodate mid-sized RVs and trailers, though larger rigs should check specific site dimensions.

Adventure is just minutes away from your campsite. Popular activities include:

  • Exploring the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park
  • Visiting the historic and geological site of Earthquake Lake
  • Engaging in world-class fly fishing on the Madison River

No enforcement of rules, had some idiot run his generator all night, and a spotlight. Host was "off duty". Camper didn't care who he pissed off. Beautiful scenery but left first light due to constant drone

OMG what an awesome campground!! Saw a moose and baby 😁. Gino and Leslie were the most wonderful people!!! Leslie actually made designs with the rake around the fire pit and picnic table, just shows how much they love their job 😀. Definitely will be back!

A beautiful, serene, quiet, clean site. At least in the middle of September! Great Camp Hosts, Leslie and Keith.
