Great KOA. We loved our little cabin. Campground was nice, friendly stuff, bathroom/showers in camping are were clean, nice little game room. Only possible negative thing I could say was I wish they had daily events like some other KOAs do. Nice primitive church and hiking trails within walking distance.

Our stay in our RV at Gatlinburg East KOA was wonderful! It’s a truly family-friendly campground with an incredible staff who go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The sites were spacious, well-maintained, and perfectly level—everything you could ask for. I highly recommend this KOA; it’s by far the nicest one we’ve ever stayed at!

Cleanest KOA we’ve ever stayed in, and the food is awesome! Staff was great….other KOA’s need to take notice of how this place is managed. We barely used our camper bathroom because the showers and bathroom there were super clean, private, and much roomier than the one in our camper. We had young kids with us and they loved the playground and pool has a shallow splash pad area which was nice for them. The pull through spots are spotless and roomy. Definitely worth paying extra for the concrete pads as they come with really nice fire pit, table and chairs. The only downside for us was the location wasn’t as convenient as other options, but it was well worth any inconvenience in location to have such a nice place to stay.

Gatlinburg East/Smoky Mountains KOA was a wonderful stay! In fact, it’s the best KOA we’ve visited by far, and we look forward to making it a regular stop on our annual journey north. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was immaculately clean and well-stocked. The campground itself is beautifully maintained and perfectly situated—it really gives you that mountain wilderness feel while still being convenient to Gatlinburg attractions. We traveled with our two dogs and really appreciated the pet-friendly amenities throughout the campground. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. One kind groundskeeper even gave our kids color-changing campfire candles, which was such a thoughtful and memorable gesture. The playground was out of this world—our kids had a blast! The pool was also very clean and inviting. We loved that there were organized activities about three times a day, which kept everyone entertained. All in all, we highly recommend this KOA. It’s a clean, welcoming, and well-run campground that truly stands out. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

We recently stayed at this KOA for a week with our two young kids (6 and almost 3). We stayed in a one room cabin and had a WONDERFUL time! I was surprised how many items the cabin already had stocked. It turned out several things we had brought were duplicates we did not need. The KOA staff was amazing. We appreciated how friendly and gracious everyone was. They did trash pickup and delivered firewood directly to our site. Our kids LOVED the playground, pool, and activities on the weekend. (Special shout out to Ms. Hollie who facilitated the family activities during our stay.) Even though we had some rain off and on during our stay, we still had a ton of fun. We liked being close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge while still being far enough away to enjoy the quiet, state park vibes. We were able to get right on the trail from the KOA. Thank you for helping to make our first family camping trip full of great memories. If we decide to return to the Great Smokies, we know we'll be staying here again.

This is by far our favorite campsite to-date! Nice spacious and level sites with full hookups, patios and fire pits at each site. Much more room and privacy than typical rv resorts. Great Smoky Mountain National Park is within walking distance - we walked to Maddron Bald Trailhead. Nice playground and pool on site, along with a clubhouse and small camp store. I believe laundry is on site, but we didn’t use it. Very friendly staff; the guy who assists on the property was amazing ! He greeted each new guest and helped every RV back into their campsite. This was so vital for us, as it was our first time backing into a site with our new fifth wheel. Very kid and pet friendly, but also quiet and relaxing. The fenced-in dog run is not lit, nor does it provide doggie bags, so be sure to bring your own bags and flashlight. This place is pretty out in the middle of nowhere, but there are a few local groceries if you need food. Would stay here over and over again! We didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend staying here, only 20 mins from Gatlinburg!

Cabin #42 was furnished and immaculate with a comfy queen bed and bunk beds. Including Also Clean linens (sheets, towels) are provided. They also provide enough coffee and toilet paper for your stay. Staff were friendly. Cleanest facilities I've ever experienced at a campground. Large personal bathrooms available with shower and sink. Nice laundry room open 24 hours. We were here in June for my sons birthday and enjoyed the in ground swimming pool!

Second year in a row camping here. It's a beautiful setting and the sites are well spaced and level. The patio sites with packages included furniture and paved pads are very nice. Staff is always super friendly. Definitely part of our campground rotation.

We just completed our 4th stay in one of the Deluxe Cabins. This has become our happy place. A nice quiet peaceful place to relax. We love this place it has nice accommodations and friendly staff. We really appreciate Jeremy he is always out and about the park making sure everyone is taken care of. He has been very helpful to us even gave us recommendations on fresh steaks for grilling close by.
