We’ve been coming to this campground for years, and it’s a place that holds a lot of great memories for our family. The kids have always loved it — from the activities to the pool and the overall atmosphere, it used to be one of our go-to summer spots. Unfortunately, during our most recent visit, it was clear that things have changed — and not for the better. The pool area was noticeably unclean, with murky water and debris that just wasn’t being maintained like it used to be. That’s especially disappointing during the hot months when the pool is a major draw. More concerning is how the overall management seems to have declined. Staff used to be friendly, responsive, and on top of everything. Now, it's harder to get help when needed, and the general upkeep of the grounds and facilities has slipped. Bathrooms weren’t stocked or cleaned as regularly, and some of the communal areas just felt neglected. We truly want to see this place get back to what it once was — a clean, safe, and fun place for families to relax and enjoy. It’s got the potential and the history. But as of now, it feels like it’s heading downhill unless some real attention is given to maintenance and leadership. We’re hopeful it can turn around, but we’ll be thinking twice before returning unless management makes changes.

Great times to be had at Gator grounds. Just got back from 3 nights and had a good time at the water park and the golf course. The manager is super nice and friendly. Very accommodating to the kids; she does her best to make sure they have a good time while following the rules. She is everywhere though, she seems stretched thin. I saw her at the golf counter, the check in counter, the pool checking chemicals, the dance party dj, the movie, etc. props to her for knocking it out.

Let start with the great part of our adventure. A very clean and safe place to bring your family. Our check in was absolutely wonderful. We felt welcomed immediately. Very nice place to walk for a little exercising. Now to the not so fun. We picked a back in next to the beautiful pond adjacent to the golf course. I just finished setting up and the top of my RV was hit by a golf ball. WTHeck. Ok got through that. Next it seems all the fishing folks (mainly kids) started walking around and through our camp spot to fish at the pond. Gator should post "camp spot etiquette signs" and parents should encourage proper camp etiquette behavior with their kids. If we come back we will Definitely pick a different location.

We visited Gator Ground campground and water park with our 4 granddaughters this week. The park is so nice and clean. The staff members are very friendly and courteous. The park is very clean. We enjoyed both the outdoor any indoor water parks. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well kept. The golf course is very nice. We had lunch at the grill while we were there. The burgers were delicious, so were the chili dogs. The girls enjoyed the pizza too. The store also has frozen foods that you can take back to your rv to prepare. We really enjoyed our trip here and highly recommend this rv campground!

If you want a family friendly atmosphere with top notch customer service then look no further!!! By far the cleanest most well maintained facility in the state!

Very clean and quiet. We went the first weekend in January not busy but the indoor pool was very clean and the building is warm. Playground is conveniently located and the kids loved feeding the ducks

Our best camping trip yet! Just had our first stay here for New Years and our kids had a blast! There’s so much for kids of all ages to do that it makes for a nice relaxing stay for mom and dad! The sites seem close together on the map but they’re actually pretty spacious in person. The indoor pool and splash pad were perfect for the winter months but we can’t wait to come back during the summer! And the firework show was amazing!!

If you like 3 different karaoke machines going till 11pm, 2 out of 5 water slides out of order, and you cant bring your own golf cart, this place is for you. Overall its an OK place but I won't be going back for a long time. My older son was bored on all but the big slide that was only open for a couple hours, and my younger one had a good time in the indoor area. If you like to party till late and be loud, its fine. if not, find somewhere else to go.

This place is the BEST! Always family friendly, always clean, so many things to do! Nice staff members. The Halloween events are great!! We always have the most positive experience when we stay at Gator Grounds. I recommend it to everyone I know and will continue to do so! I wish they'd put in some mini golf as another activity. They would flourish even more than they already do. I can not wait to go back! It is always a trip we look forward to and they never disappoint!

We truly enjoyed our stay here. It was nice,clean, and a friendly enviroment. My son enjoyed the pond and we enjoyed the water park and southren hospitality.We met wonderful people. Thank you Gator Grounds!!! Keep up the good work.

If your looking for an awesome place away from home for some fun with some friends or especially little ones I would definitely recommend Gator Grounds. Unfortunately we weren't able to explore several of there admities due to we came for hurricane evacuation & w/ covid somethings were already closed but we did get to enjoy some of the outside water park and an entire day basically to ourselves at the indoor water park. We had a blast & definitely enjoyed our stay. Kolby one of there workers were very friendly & helpful. Caroline who runs the park went above & beyond to make sure we had a good time with what we could & was even so sweet to have us stay in the cabin instead of the trailers during the storm. Even who I belive was the owner of the park went out of his way to help us out with a generator with the power outage. Amazing people. Amazing park. Amazing stay. 5 stars 🌟 & more if I could!!♡♡ thank you!!

Amazing. Every detail was nearly flawless and beautiful. We stayed at Disney World and Gator Grounds beats it for attention to detail and perfection. From the spacious sites to beautiful landscaping. Great views of the golf course and lake. Perfect indoor water park for when the weather isn't nice enough to enjoy the outdoor water park. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. This place is a must-visit for everybody.
