Terrific place to camp for a short stay. Quiet location located along the river path. Camping on grass, but the grass is level and solid--even after a good rain. No sewer on site, but electric and water work fine. There is a dump station near the office. Price is very reasonable, especially if you have Passport America. I would definitely come again.

Was a wonderful campground. Very well maintained. Very level on our spot. We didn't have to use any leveling blocks at all. Will be back again

Nice camp ground with friendly staff. Lower larger camp sites have no sewage hook ups but hey have power and water.

Great campgrounds . Plenty of space between sites. Great little food stand in the park. Bathrooms clean, nice little creek. Friendly staff

This is a nice campground with big sites. It has music twice a month and an ice cream shack on site. The pool looks nice but we did not use it. Our site was on the river where we saw lots of wildlife. Many walking trails. The only negative is the bath house was nasty. Mold and mildew and very dirty floors. Overall it was a nice experience.

Smelling the Roses

Nice, big spots, at only $18+ a night. Electric box and water spout was shared between 2 people. They had activities in the park. Easter egg hunt, and softball games. It rained for 2 days, and still was able to get out of spot with no problems. We drive to Appomattox 1 day, and it took a little over 1 hour. The drive was beautiful.

My grandson loves to play on the train and they keep it locked . Nothing for small kids to do. No up keep. roads are in bad shape. Just what are they doing with all the high taxes and water bill thats out of this world . This city needs some body from out of town to do a audit. No I see all these new police cars. But can't even fix the roads. No but God forbid if u late on the water bill or taxes.

Nice park, but a LOT OF LOCALS fill the park on the weekend! Good for a couple of night at best! Did not find the locals to be over receptive or friendly! 😟

This park is a hidden gem. Lots of space, right on the river, good views from the top of the park. Highly recommend.
