If you're just looking to get to the beach for a bit, avoid this area at all costs 😁 even just to park. We drove 2 hours in from Bedford to meet friends and explore the Bluff for a couple of hours. Unfortunately, looking for where we could park hadn't crossed our minds as normally the places we venture out to have a parking lot nearby - not the case here, it's just off the main road and finding somewhere to park is quite difficult. In this case, our friends had found a small campground that had a 'beach parking' section and so we parked the three cars we came in and ventured down to the beach. As we were leaving a couple of hours later, blonde Karen came running out to tell us to 'slow down'. The sign posted advises 15 km, she started yelling about how its 10 km and that we were going too fast. This was on a small gravel road that it wouldn't even really be possible to speed on. No idea why she was in such a foul mood, but she's miserable and threatened to 'ban' all our cars because she could 'hear' the cars? Our friend has a Cavalier that you can hear even crawling down a road, but I figure she assumes that cars can only make noise when they are 'going too fast'. She seems like she would be horrendous to deal with in any capacity, and it's honestly a shame seeing as the campground was quite nice and has direct access to the beach.

This place is beautiful, ocean views towards the bottom with more secluded sites available, loads of room depending on how many people in your party, and some of the cleanest camp washrooms I’ve ever seen even the pit toilets, amazing place overall. The staff is also super helpful, friendly, and overall a lovely place to be. Especially love her smoky the bear sign lol, highly recommend for anyone next adventure!

There are indeed a lot of seasonal sites but we stayed a night as our first stop into NS with our 25' self-contained. Came at the end of September so it was very quiet. We were blessed with beautiful weather AND the good fortune to be right on the edge of the cliff - very special spot (looks like they keep the 4 best spots open for travelers). The proprietor was very friendly and we spent some time chatting about minerals in the area - some of which can be found right on the beach below. Non-potable water but we travel with enough anyway.
