Fantastic, small campground on the beautiful beach. Facilities were clean. As others have noted the drive down there is a bit bumpy, but we had no problem in our 21 foot RV.

We stopped by Gold Bluffs just recently and were surprised by a mix-up concerning reservations (my fault) but got help from the incredible Ranger Ernesto! He helped us with great information and a lot of patience. Big shout out to him! The only downside was the bugs but not much to be done about that.

Really close to the ocean. With really clean, well, maintained grounds and bathroom facilities, including showers. All of the campers were really respectful. I will say if you're not into children laughing. And crying and playing, then this may not be the spot for you. As for us, it's fun to watch kids having fun. Very family friendly. You can have pets here, but they must remain on a leash.

Review for Gold Bluffs Beach Campground – Site #12 We had an amazing time camping at Gold Bluffs Beach! Although the campground was full and all the sites were taken, our experience still felt peaceful and private. We stayed at campsite #12, which gave us easy access to the beach without needing to walk through anyone else’s space. The views were stunning! We packed our own food and enjoyed a cozy night under the stars. Being already at the campground gave us a huge advantage in the morning—we were able to hit the trails early, including Fern Canyon, before the crowds arrived. It was such a special moment to explore Fern Canyon with no one else around, and we even got to see elks along the way! If you’re planning to stay here, I highly recommend it. The location made it easy for us to explore more of the park early in the day, and the whole experience was unforgettable. Just be sure to bring warm clothes—it’s cold, windy, and damp, but totally worth it! FYI- We booked 3 months in advance. — Kemoshire | Honest reviews. If I visit it, I review it.

Amazing spot to camp and hike. Photos don't do it justice. Pick up your garbage and don't be a scrooge. Camping was amazing. The toilets and showers were super clean. Road to camp KS rough and will bottom out your undercarriage, make sure to take it slow. Be gentle to the park rangers they are doing an amazing job. Wood is $10 a bundle at this review time.

What an awesome experience?! We backpacked from from the Prairie Creek VC and enjoyed the stellar sites and amenities. We didn’t expect actual toilets or potable water. We enjoyed the site in November, 2021. Bring a tarp to keep your items dry as the condensation at night it ever prevalent. The tables, fire rings, and food lockers provided definitely enhance this radical camping experience. Wildlife is also prevalent but seemingly harmless. We saw Bull Elk and had two furry camp robbers visit us at our fire. They shooed away easily—Fox. We were also lucky enough to experience a viewing of a Moon Dog, on our second night. The ocean waves crash and echo off of the bluff providing a unique sound to lull you to sleep and keep you there. GBCG is a comfortable camp site with a lot to offer. The rangers come trough the park daily. They are friendly and have firewood for sale for $10 a bushel. You can stop in Klamath if you’re driving and get wood there as well-Great time!

We came in October and did not realize that the grass turns into thorny ground in winter. Our tents were covered in thorns and we couldn't touch the ground getting in and out of our tents, lest we get covered in thorns. The winds can get pretty bad here, which is expected at a beach. Just be aware that if you are staying in a tent, you will deal with some serious winds. Sites 25 and 26 are covered from the wind by trees, but beachfront sites are pretty windy. The bathrooms were mostly okay, but one toilet could only be flushed by pulling the lever directly from the water bowl. No campsite attendant and no firewood for sale. I wouldn't stay here again unless I knew I would get a patch of grass.

Simply the best tent campground on the ocean to be found on the west coast of the United States. I cannot emphasize enough how great this place is, my family LOVES it and we visit every year. We particularly like how this is a campground geared toward tent camping rather than RV's. No offense, but if you're sleeping in an RV, you ain't camping. For fellow tent camping lovers, I can't encourage you enough to visit this awesome spot!

This place is peaceful and has beautiful views. It has clean bathrooms, free showers, and limited camp sites, so book in advance. It's about 2 miles away from Fern Canyon, which is a magical place.

This is where the big bull Elks you might have noticed missing from Prairie Creek's Elk Meadow are found. Roosevelt Elk. Look for the ribbon of Douglas Fir that grows from driftwood from much further north. They seem to prefer it, perhaps due to anti insect properties of this unique wood.
