11/6/2025 We visited Gold Dust West Casino Hotel in Carson City again this past Thursday, and our server, Jelly, was extremely pleasant, fast, and efficient! It’s always nice to experience great customer service — it reminded me of being back home in Hawaii and Las Vegas! So far, their customer service has been consistently great, which is hard to find up here in Northern Nevada. Sorry no picture. 10/29/2025 We had an enjoyable visit today! The property was hosting a Senior dining special and slot tournaments from 11–1 PM and 3–6 PM, which made the atmosphere lively and fun. It was our first time participating, and we were warmly greeted and assisted by Joseph, Manager, who was personable and attentive. Earning points here seems relatively easy, which is a nice incentive to return. Service continues to stand out — Kim, the morning bartender was good and Jason, the evening bartender, was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Even the janitorial staff went above and beyond; the lady cleaning the restroom kindly let me use it while she was tidying up, which I really appreciated. Overall, this time we had a better experience with great staff and thoughtful service. Joseph from our last visit was the only reason why we returned and gave them another try. 10/12/2025 We were in the area to see a play at the Brewery Arts Center and decided to stop in to check out this casino. Upon arrival, I was assisted by Ray at guest services. He was helpful, but when he directed my family member to the next window for assistance, the representative there ignored him completely. That kind of behavior was disappointing and didn’t set a great tone for our first visit. After that, we played for over 30 minutes near the table games and keno area but didn’t receive any beverage service. Even after pressing the service light and asking a manager from the table games for help, no one came. After waiting close to 40–45 minutes, I decided to walk to the bar myself to get drinks. Thankfully, the bartender Joseph completely turned things around. He was friendly, quick, and genuinely apologetic about the lack of floor service — he explained that servers typically make rounds every 20 minutes. His professionalism and kindness made a huge difference, and because of him, we chose to stay and enjoy the rest of our evening at the bar. We later took advantage of our welcome prime rib dinner, which was a nice bonus. Even though we don’t live in the area, we’ll definitely be back — especially when Joseph is working! He’s an outstanding representative for this casino and deserves recognition for his excellent customer service - he’s a 5 star !

Ordered the Comfort Food, anytime breakfast. $7.95 Refused it when I got it. Half a sausage patty, raw on one side. A smattering of Hash Brows, maybe two bites. One piece of toast. And two of the tiniest eggs you ever did see. oo SHRINK-FLATION! When a casino goes Super-Ultra CHEAP on the food you know the slots are going to be high minimum, low payout... DON'T BOTHER GO ELSEWHERE!

I stayed in the RV park so did not rate the rooms. The rv park was clean and pleasant however the women’s showers were run down and the water mixture settings did not allow mixing. I could only have hot or cold so found myself Turing the dial left and right in order to stay comfortable enough to finish washing off.

Overall, this casino resort is really fun. The pool is nice. It gets a little cold at night, but there is a hot tub. The restaurant is okay. Abundant free parking. Security deposit of 50 dollars. No issues with the room or bathroom. A little far from downtown, but there are a few nice restaurants in walking distance.

Oooh my goodness!! That tub in the suite was AMAZING!! It was so comfortable and beautiful in there!! I loved every moment! It is the perfect little getaway! The only thing that could have been better, was the incredibly long wait to get the complimentary breakfast. We ended up going to a restaurant elsewhere, because it was over 40 minutes of a wait time just to get a table.
