We last stayed here 3 years ago when there were different owners. That time, we ended up cancelling our remaining nights because they stuck 3 chain smokers in a van right next to our trailer meaning, because the sites are so close, we got stunk out. So we thought we would give it another try this year. Big mistake. This time, on BOTH sides we not only got chain smokers but pot smokers as well. Again, we ended up leaving a day early because we simply couldn't sit outside because of the stench. Why smoking is allowed in individual sites is beyond our comprehension. They could easily prohibit smoking in the campground and make smokers walk up towards the highway. Based on previous experiences, there was no point in trying to discuss with the neighbours or mention to management because, technically, they weren't breaking any rules and all that would do is make it awkward. It's such a shame, really. Because the campground really isn't otherwise that bad. (That is, of course, if you don't mind using a shack that is the bathrooms.) Suffice to say, we are never going back.

My husband & I spent a glorious week at Gold Mountain and could not be happier. The owners Bill & Sandy went over and beyond to ensure our needs and made us feel right at home which enhanced a wonderful vacation. The accommodations and bathrooms were clean and tidy and satisfied our needs, with breath taking views close to the river. We look forward to coming back to Gold Mountain next year!

My husband and I rented all 4 cabins and 3 tent sites for us, 3 of our 5 children and 11 of our 14 grandchildren. The hosts were excellent at answering my questions pre visit. Check in was smooth, the cabins were cute and the facilities were clean. The only complaint came from our 3 year old granddaughter. There were no swings! We had a great time and used the communal gazebo for a dinner gathering on our second night.

Me and my son were on holidays we couldn’t ask for a nicer place to stay. The accommodations are good and priced less than other places we stayed. The new owner’s Bill & Sandy are great. They were very welcoming and showed us to our accommodations. They even have gold pans there to try your luck in the river. It was the best 3 days we spent. I recommend taking a chair down to the river and watching the sunset.

We enjoyed our cabin stay visiting friends there at the RV park. No running water or washroom inside the cabins, but very accessible a short walk away. Very old mattresses and furniture but clean and served its purpose. We brought our own pillows and blankets. Of the 4 cabins, we saw two with double beds, and the other two had a mix double/bunk setup so something to keep in mind. Fascinatingly, despite the total rustic vibe there there is free wifi and it has a great signal. You are paying for the river views not so much the cabins. There is a common sink and washrooms with showers a short distance away. Facilities were clean and well stocked. The new owners' mother was on site to take care of us at check in. She went above and beyond for us to make us feel comfortable. There is a small cabin fridge, tea kettle, and toaster oven. There is a space heater. Firewood, pets, and bedding were plus $10 each per stay. We would stay again. It's quiet and peaceful. Cabins all have back porches with picnic tables to enjoy the beautiful river scenery. Private fire pit is at front of each cabin.
