My friend and I enjoy the walking trails in the woods, although last time we went, there was soo much dog poop left right in the middle of the trail. However, the woods and marsh areas are so calming and peaceful. I love listening to the birds and frogs. We even saw a couple deer.

Pricing is ridiculous if you are tent or car camping. We had two cars that people were sleeping in plus one tent. We were required to pay for two sites along with one overflow tent. When we inquired on the phone previously we were told one site would be all we needed. The site across from us had two vehicles and a bunch of people sleeping in one big camper. I'm sure that counts as a single "camping unit". Apparently they also charge you to use the shower.

Over priced for flooded sites . Stayed Aug Sept and 1st week October when we were leaving the belts on our 79 camper broke. We told camp staff they charged me another night while we tried to repair it. Even tho it wasnt plugged in and we didn't stay in it. Went back The next day to try again and were harassed immediately by a very rude staff member accusing us of abandoning it even tho we told them exactly what was going on. She then threatened to have upper management get involved. Called aaa and went to pay only to find it closed. OVER 40 DOLLARS?!?

Great location with boat launches, shore fishing, and option for big campsites. Beautiful! Mosquitoes... dont plan to be out at a campfire at night. Thsi was the only really problem. Deet, fogger, candles and thermacell didn't work...real bummer!! That is nature.

Goose Island Campground is a surprisingly nice place with plenty to do. The campsites are pretty close together, so be aware that it can get packed. There's a beach, hiking trails through the woods, and a ranger station with a small convenience store that's open from 9 am to 9 pm. The showers are clean and cost a quarter for four minutes. Overall, I recommend checking it out.
