Beyond the campsites, the resort is famous for its 18-hole championship golf course and a secondary links-style course nearby. Boaters and water sports enthusiasts will appreciate the full-service marina, which includes a boat launch and a fuel dock. For dining, guests can visit The Docks, a popular on-site restaurant known for its lakeside views. Additional amenities include a seasonal swimming pool, walking trails, and a plantation-style clubhouse.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
While the resort offers plenty of activity, the local area is home to several iconic landmarks. Most visitors make the short drive to the Unclaimed Baggage Center, a one-of-a-kind retail experience located in downtown Scottsboro. Nature enthusiasts should not miss Cathedral Caverns State Park, which features some of the largest stalagmite formations in the world. Of course, Lake Guntersville itself remains the primary draw, recognized as a top-tier destination for professional bass fishing and recreational boating throughout the year.

I’m not too sure about the service. The only thing I wish is they had a dryer or a hairdryer at the very least however it was very beautiful very spacious and your typical Lake House were in but loved.

Goose Pond Colony Resort is a hidden gem in Alabama! The golf course is fantastic, well-kept, fun, and challenging in all the right ways. The cozy lakefront cabins are perfect for relaxing on the screened in deck and the marina has everything you need if you’re bringing a boat. Add in the peaceful setting, and it’s the ideal spot whether you’re planning a family vacation or a couples getaway. We’ll definitely be back.

We were left without any clean linens the entire last day and night of the trip. We also were unable to get the bathtub to hold water even after maintenance came to repair it. It would be helpful if the cabin numbers were in both sides of the cabins as our family is large and we tend to get a large block and the cabins look alike.
