Nestled in the town of White Salmon, this park offers a clean and organized environment that balances modern convenience with natural splendor. It provides a tranquil atmosphere while remaining close to the action of the river and nearby mountain towns. Whether you are arriving for a weekend of adventure or a longer seasonal stay, the park focuses on providing a comfortable, well-managed home base for your Pacific Northwest journey.

Location & Surroundings

The park is situated on the Washington side of the Columbia River, offering a slightly quieter alternative to the bustling streets across the water. Its position provides stunning territorial views of the surrounding cliffs and lush forests characteristic of the Gorge. Being located in White Salmon means you are just minutes away from local bakeries and cafes, while a quick trip across the Hood River-White Salmon Interstate Bridge puts you in the heart of Oregon's world-class fruit orchards and vibrant recreational hubs.

Amenities & Park Features

Travelers will find well-appointed sites equipped with full hookups, including 30 and 50-amp electricity, water, and sewer. The park layout accommodates various rig sizes with both back-in and pull-thru options to suit different preferences. Guests have access to reliable high-speed WiFi and cable TV, making it easy to stay connected while on the road. On-site facilities are maintained to a high standard, featuring clean restrooms, hot showers, and a convenient laundry room. For those traveling with companions who lack an RV, the park also offers cozy cabins and dedicated tent sites.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Adventure is the primary draw here, with the park sitting near the epicenter of world-class windsurfing and kiteboarding spots. Hikers can challenge themselves on the trails of Dog Mountain or explore the hidden waterfalls scattered throughout the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. If you prefer a slower pace, the region is famous for its local wineries and craft breweries, many of which offer outdoor seating with mountain views. Fishing enthusiasts and whitewater rafters will also find plenty of access points along the nearby White Salmon and Columbia Rivers.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is ideal for active outdoor enthusiasts who want quick access to the river and mountains without sacrificing essential comforts. It appeals to couples looking for a scenic retreat and families seeking a safe, organized environment for their summer vacations. Because of its excellent connectivity and proximity to town, it is also a fantastic choice for digital nomads who need to work while enjoying the unique landscape. If you’re here and reading the reviews you’re ahead of the game. “Peekaboo” River view is an accurate statement. The River is not close. The site does state it’s not accessible and they are right. The cute little map does make it look like the River is right out your back door. It’s not. The TRAIN TRACKS are right out your back door. (They forgot to draw that on the cute little map) If you can sleep through anything then no big deal. If your wife can’t…BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! Happy wife, happy life. The site was very clean. Easy to get in and get out. Very good directions. Just don’t break the rules…there’s ALOT of rules. And she’s on top of them. A very short visit from a friend (who left plenty of space on the drive for folks to get by) resulted in a knock on the trailer with an unpleasant directive to move. Bedside manner wasn’t to be found. Oh…did I mention there’s a train. A loud train. With whistles. Bring your sleep aids and earplugs.

Manager was rude, so worried about the rules that she forgot customer service. There was trash on the floor in the women shower stalls on Friday when we arrived and was still there on Monday when we left. Oh, and you have to pay for showers, which is ridiculous when we paid for a camp site. The grounds were clean and there is a nice dog walking area.

Don’t plan on camping here if you have more than one vehicle or a boat, the woman in the front office is very rude refused to refund after paying for 2 nights we only stayed one night. Tent areas are tiny with dry burnt grass and ant hills everywhere. Bathrooms are dirty and not stocked with toilet paper or soap. Showers barely work. Dog mountain rv is just 20 minutes up the road is much and way better tent areas and much friendlier service.

First this is not a hotel. It’s an RV camp so you need to adjust your questions. The camp is VERY well kept and maintained. The staff I had contact with were very friendly. The only complaint is noise. It’s flanked closely by a very busy road and train tracks, all of which run 24/7. If you have no trouble sleeping, you’re good to go. Everything else is a five star.

Small park with a small playground, dog park and laundry/bathing facilities. Nice location but if you want to go to Oregon side the narrow bridge is $3.50 each way. Sites are comfortable. Staff is pleasant.
