The pool was nice for the kids. Closed a little early. Staff was friendly and helped us out. Sites were decent. A little small, but not terrible. The buildings on the road leading in are literally falling apart. There used to be a university but it's literally crumbling and has broken windows. Looks awful as you drive up to this RV park. We did not use laundry or overnight restrooms, but we did leave very early in the morning. Campground is nice and quiet at night. Biggest problem is that the grounds are infested with some type of desert roach. I am no expert and cannot speak on the type. I do know what once it got dark, they were running around everywhere (and they ran from light- which I've read are the type that infest homes and such, but again, not a bug expert). We packed everything outside up ASAP once we saw them. Hoping we didn't take any with us. We had to back out of our site to leave. The road between the 2 rows of sites is pretty narrow (with hills and trees) making it difficult for a 5th wheel to easily get in and out of certain sites. There was a much smaller camper in a much larger spot that probably should have been reserved for a larger rig, but wasn't the case.

Resort was very nice! Great views, hiking and close to restaurant. People are friendly. We signed up for 5am sunset monument valley Indian tour from camp site not the main lodge. The tour guide never showed up. We ended up driving on our own. They did refund our money, but recommended you book it from their main lodge and not camp site.

Positives: Beautiful location. So close to Monument Valley that you can even see it in the distance. Very interesting history (check out the film about the history of the Inn). Evening movies (John Wayne) set in the locale Very friendly staff. In a dark sky area. Negatives: Sites are not level and require significantuse of Lynx Levelers to get the rig level (sites would be fine for smaller rigs, but longer rigs pick up the slope). Internet is non-existent. Every so often, you can pick up a

If you're tent camping, go for the premium site T-10 if you can. It sits above the RV spots with an amazing view that allows for some beautiful sunrises. Sites T-7 and T-10 have fire pits and the other premium tent sites just have a grill stand. The fire pits also have grills though. The office nearby has a laundry, showers, an indoor pool, snacks, first aid stuff and various toiletries. They also have souvenirs and ice cream. I wish Monument Valley was more bike friendly though, and I wish their website let you pick the spot you want to reserve. Overall it's a great place for tent and RV camping and if I go camping near Monument Valley again I'll definitely come back here.

This is a beautiful campground right near Monument Valley Tribal Park. The sites are surrounded by huge buttes and you also have a great view of the famous monuments. The people that run it are awesome too! I highly recommend staying here. Much nicer than the KOA further north. Visiting this scenic area was the highlight of our trip!!
