The place it's self is nice. My family used site 51 and our friends used site 49. There were trees right behind where you park so if you back up to far you will hit it. There are also trees in the way for you to be able to put out your awning. My friends spot had 2 parking spots but ours had none. It is also pretty tight trying to get into spots if someone is across the road with their camper and vehicle.

It's a nice park the cave isn't much just a overhang but it has a paved trail right to it . Good picnic area and playground for the kids.

A decent state park with reasonable prices (no reservation fees if you pay the camping fee at the campground self pay station, which is located at the front of the shower house right after the dump station). $14.00 for basic campsites $2.00 discount for seniors or disabled. Electric sites must be reserved according to signage at the campground, but you can reserve them by phone at the park. Almost every basic campsite was open when I visited in July. No reservation is necessary. You can check availability on recreation. Gov. Shower houses are a bit old but there was very hot water and they were normal showers. No push buttons, thankfully. Some parking areas were uneven, but most are just fine. Picnic tables and fire pits and plenty of shade, thank goodness. Creeks were all dry, cave was pretty neat, trails are OK, poison ivy is everywhere ... typical of most places in Missouri in July. Peaceful and decent.

My family and I have visited this park many times. It has great trails and plenty of primitive potties. There are lots of neat things to see and with different seasons new things to look for! Enjoy!

Didn’t camp, just hiked around. Had a great time!! I did the loop all the way around and really enjoyed it. The trails are well marked and easily navigated, bathrooms were very clean, and water from the fountains was clean and tasted good. I saw tons of wildlife, including these great tortoises. Bring tick repellent and check yourself before you go home!

Great place for camping, hiking. The boat ramp could definitely use some cleaning up as it is very muddy, and the ramp is also covered in muddy, too, making it difficult to put a kayak in and then get back out afterwards. If the boat ramp were cleaned up properly it would be a great place for water entry and exit from a kayak or small vessels.

So fun- lots of great trails and walking- cave was great! We sat at a picnic table at the play ground for an hour after trekking to the cave ❤️❤️

Easy access off I-70 to well maintained hiking trails. There is a lot of wildlife (pileated woodpecker, whitetail, turkey, and waterfowl) along the river. They also have restrooms, lots of parking, and playground equipment.

Interesting state park. At the edge of two ecosystems. Ozark Highlands and Glaciar Plains. The cave itself is pretty typical of a rock overhang in the woods in the area, but a lot larger. The cave is fenced off, so you can't really go into it. The park is about 5 minutes off the interstate, so it is a great place to stop and stretch your legs.
