Grand Canyon Trailer Village
Overview
Trailer Village RV Park is the only destination within the Grand Canyon National Park that offers full hookups for recreational vehicles. Managed by concessionaires, this park provides a convenient home base for those wishing to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the South Rim. The setting is primarily paved and functional, focusing on providing essential services while maintaining proximity to the park's iconic natural landmarks for an efficient and memorable visit.
Location & Surroundings
Situated directly inside the national park boundaries, the campground is located in Grand Canyon Village. This prime location allows guests to stay near the heart of the action, reducing travel time to the canyon edge. You will find yourself surrounded by a high-altitude ponderosa pine forest, which provides a serene backdrop. The site is a convenient walking distance to park shuttle stops, making it easy to access viewpoints and historic sites without moving your rig.
Amenities & Park Features
Each site at the park is paved and designed to accommodate larger vehicles, with many pull-through options available. Guests have access to full utility hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity, which is a rare commodity in such a remote location. While the park does not feature resort-style luxuries like swimming pools, it does provide essential facilities like laundry services and nearby public restrooms, ensuring a comfortable stay for those focusing on outdoor exploration.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
The park is minutes away from the South Rim, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Grand Canyon. You can easily access the Bright Angel Trailhead for a challenging hike or take a leisurely walk along the paved rim trail to catch a sunset. The historic El Tovar Hotel and the Grand Canyon Visitor Center are also nearby, offering plenty of educational opportunities and dining choices to round out your daily itinerary.
Who This Park Is Best For
This campground is ideal for RV travelers who prioritize location and convenience over resort amenities. It is a perfect fit for families and photographers who want to maximize their time inside the national park. If you prefer to minimize driving and want to be positioned for early morning sunrise treks or late evening stargazing at the canyon, this park offers the most strategic spot for your Grand Canyon adventure.

We only stayed one night, but check-in and checkout were easy. The bathroom was clean. We did have to place three blocks of levelers on the front and then we were good. We managed to come the one day out of the year that it snowed, so while there is a shuttle stop right outside the park, we didn’t have a chance to use it. No issues with our power connection. We would stay here again.

Great clean and beautiful. Me and my wife had a wonderful time hiking and eating in the Grand Canyon. Also seen dear , elk and coyotes. Great and friendly staff. We love hiking and look forward to coming back for an overnight hike to the river in the canyon. We stayed at Trailer Village. Great place. We have dinner at every lodge. Excellent food and staff.

We went mid -November. Its a great location to stay right in the park. We had full hook-ups and it was quiet. The elk walked right through the campground which was fun to see. However, there are no amenities in the park for kids like playgrounds or anything. The showers were closed. They have a free shuttle.bus that comes every 15 minutes to the front of the park and it takes you to the Village downtown, the visitor center and many more stops in The Grand Canyon. It makes it easy to get around and not worry about parking.

Trailer Village RV Park is a great place to camp at the Grand Canyon. Restaurants, hikes, groceries, bars, and shuttle services are all in walking distance. The bathhouses are clean and sites well maintained. The South Rim Trail is less than a mile walk from your campsite. We had a great time camping at Trailer Village RV.

Loved having elk munching on the trees and grazing right next to the RV! Quiet. Well managed and clean. Convenient bathrooms and showers nearby. Paved spots with picnic table and fire pit with a grate. Free shuttle to take you throughout the park.
