This is a great opportunity to setup base camp for a week and explore. It's a busier spot that people come to enjoy the views and water. Dawn was a great person and intuitive in her conversations. I'd recommend it to anyone, any rig.

Outstanding campground. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Showers and bathrooms were clean. The site was well kept up. Our only recommendation would be to post the hours of when the bathrooms and showers will be cleaned so campers can work around that. 5*

We are stayed here over Labor Day weekend!!! Its a 10 minute walk to downtown Grand Marais where all the shops and resaurants are and close to the lighthouse attraction also!!! We were lucky enough the day of check in to grab up the last lake site available (these sites are drop in only and can't be reserved) which made our stay even better!!! It was site 3 and it was a full hook up (electric, water and sewer) and right across from Lake Superior! It was amazing to hear the waves crashing all night long!!! The spots were decent sized and plenty of room between campsites (my opinion) For being a good sized campground it is very quite at night and so family friendly!!! It's a pretty nice campground and such beautiful views of Lake Superior and Grand Marais!!! Definitely recommend staying here if you ever in the area!!!

We were hoping to snag a full hookup site, but the camper right in front of us scored the last spot. We settled for site #218 further back in the campground and it worked out great. It was just a site away from the showers/bathroom house which was convenient to shower all the kids after a long, hot day. Showers are clean, hot and great water pressure. It was a busy weekend but not too loud. Only downside was a tent camped next to us on the final night of our stay and talked until about 1am with a smoky fire a couple feet from our RV. That's the downside of cramming this many sites into the space. Good location for exploring the town, the lighthouse, nearby waterfalls and Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Paid $57 per night on a weekend. Pretty spendy for partial hookups, but it's a good location. Water and power hookups. No sewer.

Off season (mid-Oct to mid-May) great place for an uncrowded brisk walk or walking dog. Great in high summer season too but very popular!

Good campground with all services, walk to town only a few blocks, sites are pretty close together, bike trail nearby, great access to lake dogs loved it.

Great jumping off point for your North Shore adventures. Lots of options for camping, whether you want tent or RV with hookup or not. Right on Lake Superior and almost in town with the feeling of being out in the wilderness but so close to town if you want to go to a restaurant or shop.

We actually camped in our new favorite spot this year. It was private and relaxing. The only problem (nothing to do with the Campground itself) were some very drunk people, "F" word constantly, and very loud until 10:30pm. I wish the Campground monitored people like that better.

Beware there is a burning ban and the campground does not notify guests with reservations that you can not have a fire or charcoal to cook over. Also note that Sven and Ole’s, Dairy Queen and the donut shop are closed during the week. The remaining restaurants are packed so finding a place to eat is very difficult. A simple email to those with reservations would have allowed us to bring a camp stove. Out of our group of 3, no one received advance notice.
