What a pleasant surprise! Our Campground host was a perfect gentleman and very helpful. We were weary travelers looking for a place to camp after rain flooded us out of where we wanted to camp off grid. Thankfully we found a spot in this beautiful little Campground. We will definitely go there again!

Not a big campground person but this place is super cool, the lake is beautiful and there’s lots of fun nearby!

Lovely campground in a beautiful area. It didn't work for our dogs because they needed to be leashed the entire time, otherwise they quickly wandered to bother other campers. Excellent campground!

Beautiful campground on Grand Mesa! Tucked in the spruce & fir trees you'll find ample campsites with picnic tables & established fire rings (with grill top) right along the waters edge. Plenty of space for our tent. Vault restrooms on site. Bring your paddle board, kayak, and fishing rods - the water was an easy walk from our campsite (#5). Camping fee is $16.00 per night. Firewood bundles were available with the super nice camp host for $10.00.

Mosquito town , but awesome.

Nice area. It was not crowded so people were not right next to us. Quick walk to the lake.

We had a lakeside campsite where we could fish from shore and leave our canoe. Some little kiddos even caught fish with their 2 foot long pink children's rods right by our site, although the fishing was better near the inlet. Lots of privacy between sites. In Spring 2021 there was a big blow-down so many trees cover forest floor here. Google Maps doesn't show the road to the campground in the SE corner of the lake (check USFS website map). Loved this section of Grand Mesa.

Lovely camp hosts from Grand Junction whose relatives homesteaded in the area. The campground is in kind of sad shape. Lots of rotting logs and tilted benches. Crowded even on opening weekend. Was windy, 31 degrees overnight in early June. Reservoir fishing was pretty abysmal. Snow still standing in the shade. Very few mosquitoes compared to later in the summer. Good vaulted toilets. No shower. Hand water pump for well water available. $14/night.
