Grand Sierra Resort and Casino RV Park

Nice level spots with full hookups and walking distance to the casino. Sadly they're turning the RV park into a parking lot. This will probably cause us to find another casino to visit 😞

Premium sites are closed. The bathroom and showers need work. Men's urinals are missing and shower heads are bo good. The entire bathroom floor is constantly wet from showers. The site was clean and no issues with RV hookups. No shade trees in the non-premium spots. The pool was murky and lots of debris floating around. Straws, napkins, etc.

We only missed a couple of years during covid. We usually come in August for the Rib Cook-off or Hot August Nights, but this time I came by myself, the last week in May since the main RV Park area is closing May 31. I'm a sentimentalist to a fault sometimes, and had to come down for 1 last stay at The GSR RV Park, the family could not come but our 2 dogs came with me. Been here for a week, going home June 1st, been reminiscing all the great times we've had in the park, my kids grew up camping here, my daughter learned to ride her bike at the RV Park 22 years ago, my son and I jumped off the Ultimate Rush dozens of times, my daughter Sarah was one of the youngest to ever jump strapped to her Dad, 4 years old. Sad to see the Park go but The owners have great plans for the Resort moving forward. The staff at the park, Katie and Karen at the RV office have been great, always helpful and cheerful. And thank you to John Bowman and Emma for keeping the restrooms and grounds clean as a whistle! Thank you Grand Sierra RV Park for all the great years!!!

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Overpriced, unorganized, unmanicured, not so clean dirt and rock parking lot. There are lots of stickers and debris everywhere. I don't think they've ever paid any attention to this side of the rv park. The other side is well kept, landscaped, and manicured. The ONLY 1 good thing was they were able to move us to a 50 amp spot, but they charged an additional $60. See the pics to see what $600 gets you for 4 days. Ugh, never again! PS. I usually only post good reviews as the bad ones aren't worth my time, but I just had to share this so that maybe they'll get their shit together and make it right for everyone else

Lovely and very clean.. bathrooms are large with clean showers.. plenty of space for RVs. Sadly someone stole the hitch pin of my family's RV . Had to purchase a new one .. perhaps cameras and better security. RV parking gives access to the GSR pool and fitness center. There is also a lake and golf area

The nice thing about Grand Sierra RV Park is you can use the facilities at Grand Sierra Resort as the hotel guests. The swimming pool is one of my favorites. The hotel bowling alley is another excellent place to go with friends. The RV park is full hookups. So, there is no problem in the summer as long as your air conditioner works well. I do enjoy my time with friends there.

The reviews for this RV Park seem mixed, and after staying here for 4 nights, sadly, I would have to agree with the negative reviews. The website boasts about all of these hotel amenities that are included in your stay, but a lot of them weren't open/operating. The shops had really crumby hours (some only open on the weekend). The RV sites themselves were fine. However, the washroom/shower houses were dirty. The toilet side seemed to be cleaned every couple of days, but the showers were definitely NOT cleaned for the duration of our stay. The same hairballs and clothing tags were on the ground for 4 days. One shower stall had fake eyelashes stuck on the walls and they were there the entire time. The water pressure of the showers were really weak as well. The laundry facilities were good, except I found a shrimp tail in one of the wash drums. The location of this RV Park is great. You literally walk across a parking lot to get to the hotel/casino. It's ok if you're just passing through and staying the night. I wouldn't recommend more than one night here though. TIP: get to the RV Park before the office closes. After hours check-in is at the hotel reception and those lineups can get really, REALLY long.
