We came on a Saturday and we were the only ones at the tables. Some people came to the boat ramp but other than that we were completely alone. The restrooms are right across from the tables which is nice. But they were really dirty. Other than that it was a nice day.

Absolutely gorgeous! Lots of fishing areas, no fishing license needed with $5 day pass.

Our local Georgetown Rec Center activity took us kayaking here. The park is nice and the boat ramp was close to the entrance and very easy to get in and out of. Our guide took us to Green Lake in Willis Creek where the duck weed was everywhere and made the water look enchanting. We also went into narrow areas where only one kayak could go at a time. The trees were beautiful and offered shade. We enjoyed the enthralling sounds of various birds.

Stayed in the RV campground for a few days and we plan to return later in the year for a few days. The good: Paved sites with water and power, most are relatively level, however you'll probably need a few jack blocks for leveling an RV of any type. The lake view is beautiful in the spots that have a view; some sites have shade for those hot summer days, some sites don't, which is good for those chilly winter days. Some sites have a serious woodsy feel, those are in the higher numbers on the lake side of the park. The boat ramp is just past the far end of the campground for those that are here to enjoy the lake itself, although the walk out pier is closed... likely for safety (safety first!). Dumpsters are readily available right across from the main bathhouses and the dump station is easy to get in and out of. Seasonal Bonus: They mowed the campground areas and left the wildflowers (it was April when we visited) alone for the viewing pleasure of park visitors and food for the butterflies and bees 😎 The Meh: There's a streetlight in the middle of the campground that could seriously use some shielding ...super bright on a clear night, it might be a bit much if you're camped close ...bring black-out curtains for your sleeping area if you camped near the middle of the campground. The county road that runs into the park is a bit worn and wonky, however it's paved and they do seem to come out to patch potholes. If you're in a larger rig, slow down and be mindful of the railroad crossing...it's not bad, but it does have a bit of a crest to it. The bathhouses...see below.

I probably would have given this place more stars if there wasn't an entire dead cow floating in the creek just a few hundred yards from where the families fish, swim, and boat. 🤢 Despite this, the park is generally well-kept and clean. The park itself is rather small, but the accessible areas in the vicinity are quite spacious.
