Been staying at Granite Hill for 30+ years. Great place to go and have fun with friends and family without being hassled by staff for every little thing. Respect them and the grounds and they will respect your privacy. Always had great experiences with the staff!!

Just WOW! Huge place! I took my dog and walked for a long time, still did not see it all! Great staff, many amenities, and since it's our first night, it's going to be an adventure! What I saw this evening: a huge woodchuck (?), a dog run with agility equipment, putt putt golf course, pool, bathrooms, wooded trails, cafe, well stocked store, tent areas, open fields, volleyball, shuffleboard, and showers. It's the home of the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival.

Our family and friends stayed at Granite Hill last weekend for the first Halloween Weekend. We are tent campers so we stayed in the USA tent site area. Before our visit, Granite Hill had made some changes to our sites due to downed trees or tent sites that were considered unsafe. The trees are old, thin and dying making that area completely unsafe for campers. Some of us stayed on the OH site for the weekend. While packing the site up on Sunday, the top of a tree fell, missing me by only a small distance. Had I stepped in the wrong direction or this tree top had fallen during the time we were set up someone could have been seriously hurt if not killed. This was a site that was considered "safe" for camping. I called the campground to let them know, but felt dismissed. I also sent an email, but have yet to received a response. While we enjoyed the weekend up until that point, we have some serious concerns about the lack of maintenance, and upkeep at the campground. The USA tent site area has alot of trees that are dead and dying. They need to be cut down to make the area safer for campers. The bathrooms are functional but need updating and the bathrooms by the main check in area are locked and not able to be used by campers. Tree maintenance and grounds keeping in the USA tent area should be part of a regular routine to avoid situations like what happened to us. We hope that changes are made but we will not be returning to Granite Hill until we know it is safe.
