Despite numerous complaints, the person cleaning the bath house directly across from our tent site continues to play a radio so loudly it wakes us every morning. Quiet hours are until 8am. He starts the radio well before 8am. We have been told it’s been addressed but the loud radio continues. This has happened 2 years now on our Halloween camping weekend. Update: I spoke directly to the attendant who states he was not made aware of the complaints nor did he know the sound traveling across the road to our site. He apologized and turned off the radio.

The camp sites are nice but the bath house needs alot of work. There are alot of safety issues like broken plank boards, a huge hole in the roof where the washer and dryer are located and im sure there's a lot of things that I'm leaving out. We like it because it's Gettysburg and only an hour drive there. Hope this is helpful, enjoy.

Get there and cabin is full of cobwebs and bugs and thank you letter is disgusting with dead bugs. I let them know at office very nicely and they said they would have someone clean it. I said that wasn’t the point it should have already been cleaned. Wayne shows up a little later with an attitude and says what do I expect it’s the woods as soon as they clean them they are back. Um no I live in the woods as well and it just requires cleaning. Another person showed up Saturday morning and apologized and said he didn’t know they were rented and said he would have cleaned them had they known. I don’t think they get much business as it was pretty empty when all other campground were mostly sold out. Bathroom had cobwebs all weekend and surprisingly the cobwebs didn’t come back by Sunday. Grounds are overgrown and uncared for. Like bath house had dead vines on building and simply weed waking or removing dead plants or rusty burn barrels would make a huge difference and stop not making excuses. The cats are a huge problem as you couldn’t leave anything unattended for minute or they were jumping on the picnic tables for food. Pool was the only nice thing, arcade was as sad and forget the dilapidated mini golf we drove elsewhere and happily paid more to play on a nice course. So sad it’s wonderful area and could be much more but until they admit they have problems and work to correct it then it will continue to go downhill.

I really wanted to like it here. We' d heard from multiple people that we had to go to Granite Hill. Overall rating is "meh", it was ok. The "resort" itself is enormous, there are A LOT of sites for campers, tents, and even cabins spread around this place. It's really huge, I think a few sights seemed squeezed in to maximize use, but really big and spread out overall. As for the "resort", maybe 20 years ago it was something to see but today its in need of some serious capital investment. More than few sites were overgrown with grass and weeds. What was most shocking is the place was mostly empty the weekend in July '25 we were there. Mini golf needs a major overhaul on the turf, benches and bridges. This course would rival any beach mini golf course if it could get the face lift it desperately needs. Also this is the first camping resort mini golf we had to pay to use, most places we've stayed it's included. As for the paddle boats and kayaks on the pond. This would have been great some years ago I'm sure. There were just 4 paddle boats, and only 1 was in working condition. The other 3 had missing seats or broken back rests. All 4 were filthy inside. Kayaks are old, my 8 yr old daughter and I took out the only 2 person kayak/canoe they had and within 5 minutes we're sinking. Get back to shore and realize there's a hole in the bottom-back of it. The fishing pond was the most fun for our 3 boys. They caught (and released) all kinds of fish in there. They had a blast with this. Ponds need bubblers or something to move the water around and keep the algae under control. The pool was nice, surrounding chairs and tables in good shape. The pool could use a good bottom scrubbing, but otherwise was great and relaxing. Shout out to Wayne, this is 1 very busy man. All weekend we saw him working his tail off all around the grounds. From mowing, chain sawing, pool skimming, and driving for the hay rides. Even saw him guide the AAA truck to a site for a couple that were locked out of their car, and he got a golf cart to take a kid back to his site that got a bloody nose. This guy was all over the place and never stopped working. He talked to everyone and provided any help that was needed. The camp store is large and well stocked with just about anything you might need for the weekend. And a bunch of junk the kids might "need" too. It's a spacious and quiet campground, just needs a lot of investment to modernize and bring it back to its former glory. Please add cable or wifi and include mini golf for paying guests.

We had a wonderful time at Granite Hills. We stayed in a cabin and I would recommend bringing a fan because they only have a ceiling fan in them. No complaints about the cabin but the bathroom was disgusting a few different times. It looked like someone had shoved a whole roll of TP in one toilet and in the other toilet it looked like someone had an accident everywhere. They do clean the toilets in the early morning but I never saw them go back later in the day.
