chill rv park, spaces are kinda cramped, but lots of open grass space adjacent with John day river opposite. screaming wifi. rv dump site also with "pay in the box" fee! Bathrooms/showers are pretty nice but not open to public anymore. not a lot of on site crew members, but there is an information booth near the front with a lil free library!

The bathrooms were gross. That was the only amenity I used. The river was peaceful and the grounds seem well kept (the grass was mowed recently). The Wi-Fi works well and it's only a couple blocks from town. It took asking around to get the code to the bathroom. $10 for a tent site and $5 for use of the showers. I only stayed one night so didn't use the showers (I can't comment on their cleanliness or function).

Stayed at this fairground on October 15 16, 2022 (Overnight stay) We stumbled upon this gem of an RV park when we decided to break our journey from Bend, OR to Caldwell, ID into two parts. To put it simply, this picturesque haven left us wishing we could have extended our stay. This place was a colorful oasis visually stunning for an autumn visit. The website was user friendly and easy to book a site. We ended up picking site 3, a pull-through with full hook-ups. The website provided clear and easy to follow directions to get to the park. Upon arrival, setting up camp was an easy task. The site itself was spacious, level, and bordered by a vibrant array of trees that transformed the surroundings into a kaleidoscope of colors. The park is quiet with only the gentle symphony of the river flowing in the background, really adding to the tranquil ambience that made us feel as though we were in our own colorful retreat. The park is pet friendly and there is plenty of open space to play ball and have fun or just enjoy a scenic walk around the rivers trail. There are restroom and shower facilities, though we didn't use them. There seemed to be plenty of nearby options for eating and shopping. I would recommend this park to anyone looking to stay in the John Day area. It is a great choice for the low price.

We pulled in the park late and found an empty site for the night. The next morning we were able to play ball with the dogs on the beautiful lawn before heading out again for the rest of our adventure. Beautiful, smallish, quiet, well maintained park and grounds. We will definitely be back if in the area again. 🥰

I was hesitant at first. Unable to reach the "Host" via phone or at lot #14, only seeing portable toilets, and a permanent looking tent set up. I was worried. Finally reaching the host we were told there are flushing toilets, showers (additional $5 fee), the tent was a 2 week person getting mushrooms, I felt better. Our stay was outstanding. The grass was short and green, the bathrooms were clean, the showers were decent, and the area was so quiet. Located next to a mild river and a gravel walking path, we felt secure and private during our stay. The space was large enough that we could have our grandkids visit us to play ball and have a picnic. We highly recommend this location to tent/car camp at. A great value at $10 per night to dry camp.

Pretty much a self serve place. Just go look for your name on the RV site and park there. No staff on property so you are pretty much on your own. The sites were dirty and covered in leaves, there was trash in the fire pit and 3 dogs just running around the RV park getting into other guests’ RV sites. A couple of good things: there was cell reception in the park and the WiFi was decent.
