IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY: If the pool hadn’t been open in two years, it would have been nice to know at the time of booking. At no time prior to arriving were we advised (or saw on the website) that the pool was closed. Also, the pictures posted are clearly very misleading and were not taken recently. Our family camps quite often and I respect that not every location will be the same but this place is run down. I think 4 adult males hanging off a golf cart blaring music and yelling is a pretty obvious sign they are intoxicated. There were also drunk people walking around so maybe it was a good idea the pools were closed. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Booked this location for May 2-4 prior to it becoming a private park. Was originally excited, as the KOA’s we had been to in the past, far exceeded our expectations. If you have young children(0-12) I would not suggest this campground. Pool was not open, bugs were horrific (not in their control I know) and the swing set in my backyard is better than the park they offer. My kids were bored and we spent most of our trip off site walking the downtowns of Gravenhurst and Bracebridge. Showers were hot and the pressure was good and they bathroom were clean enough. I can see the logic of them becoming private as the park does not meet the KOA standard in my opinion. If you’re an adult who wants to drink and party with the permanent residents who cruise around drunk on golf carts this is the place for you.

Stayed here last fall in a cabin. Very nice and beautiful place. The maintenance was good and the neighbours were friendly too which made our stay happy and enjoyable. The only thing that can improve is that the showers can be renovated as they were old and had mold. Everything else was great. I would definitely return for another stay.

We rented cross-country-skies at the KOA Gravenhurst. What a wonderful owner and great service. As a first time skier I enjoyed the beautiful trail through the woods. We were able to rent the skies for another day to go to Artowhead, great service. We can recommend the trails and service for the winterseason.

A wonderfully kept campground. Peaceful, and quiet, especially in the evenings. Golfing, Trout pond, lots of playgrounds for the kids! We will be going back. 4 stars because some of the charges are insane. As an example, you have to pay for a 'fake (campground) fishing license', and 7 bucks for every fish you catch, despite the size. Pools were not open, where most campgrounds have them open. Full hookups and drive through lots are great. Recommended.

Great KOA. Nice large full hookups sites that also offer privacy. Would absolutely stay here again.
