One of the nicest State Parks. Rates up there with Ike Kinswa. You don't have worry about overhanging trees hitting your roof. The few pull through sites are HUGE. Most of the campsites offer privacy. Many of the yurts have parking spaces bigger than actual campsites. Compared to many state parks the pads are relatively level. They are asphalted. Most sites offer a generous grass section. Unlike most state parks, no borders and trees making it difficult to back in. I didn't see a single campsite where the pad is angled wrong. This is a gem compared to Ocean City. Could it be improved? Definitely. The park is large enough for more campsites. The state needs to cater to those with solar. Offer a few small, medium, and large sites with only 10 amp hookup, water and sewer. Require that you must primary use solar to use these sites. During the peak summer months those with solar can power their rig off of solar and only use the 10 amp to help recharge batteries at night. In fact the whole section of solar required sites could have it where the 10 amp circuits turn on at 10 pm and off at 4 am. 120Vac at 10 amps is 1200 watts. 6 hours of night time usage is 7200wh. It's too little to power most kitchen appliances and at hours that most won't be using power. But those 6 hours of 1200 watts means that on cloudy days the batteries get some help without having to run a generator much. Pictures of a yurt site. It has external 30a service plus water

Leaving this review for other parents with toddlers to let you know how toddler friendly it was to stay in a yurt at Grayland. 100% recommend. We visited in June- still slightly chilly at times. Yurt- very clean, has heat for colder nights, could make a floor bed with futon mattress for our toddler. The hike to the waterfront is pretty long- so our hiking backpack came in clutch when our toddler was too tired from walking in sand. Note the weather- there was one day it was too windy to actually enjoy the beach at all. Westport is a short drive and we enjoyed walking around, getting fish n chips, grabbing a coffee to go and hitting the playground as an outing. Very toddler friendly experience! Also- I was worried about the two reviews that noted 100’s of bugs coming in. Can say- the yurt seemed very sealed. No infestations from our experience.

Grayland Beach State Park was a fantastic getaway! We stayed in a cozy yurt at site 118, which comfortably fit four people and our dogs. The yurt came equipped with a double bed, single bed, and a futon—plus a heater that kept things perfectly toasty. The park itself was peaceful and spacious, with clean washrooms and well-separated sites that never felt crowded. The highlight, though, was the stunning sandy beach—absolutely breathtaking and perfect for long, relaxing walks. Highly recommend for a relaxing coastal escape.

I had to book my spot 9 months in advance for Memorial Day weekend. I like that there is room in between sites. Yes you can still see your neighbors but its better then most places. The trails to the beach is a big plus. Bathrooms were clean and short walk away. There are no sewer hook ups so this limits your stay and you have to stop and dump. There are also yurts to rent so if you have friends/family without a trailer they have an option too besides a tent. I think we would come back if we could get our friends to book 9 months in advance too 😉

What a peaceful and relaxing place! It’s so quiet and clean — just perfect for a weekend getaway. I shared a few videos because the surroundings are just too beautiful not to! The restrooms were impressively clean too, which made the whole experience even more comfortable. It’s also a great spot for a BBQ with family or friends — plenty of space and fresh ocean air to enjoy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

The check-in staff are very personable and friendly. The camp sites are clean and close to the beach. Fire pit, picnic table (large) electrical hook ups and water. We were at sites 60-100. They all seem very nice. The yurts are cool to. We will be back.

So beautiful here. I would give 5 stars if people wouldn't leave their trash on the side of the road. I have been picking up garbage for a few days now on a short stretch of hwy. If everyone would take 30 minutes a day to pick up garbage it would make this country so much more beautiful.

Beautiful WA state beach but Rip Tides so Caution with Children. Clear warm water on summer days. Rip tides are plentiful at this beach, due to the hidden sandbars with 10' deep ditches around them. When the tide is out you can visually see the sandbars and ditches around them. When the tide is in, you cannot see the sandbars or ditches but can see the water being strongly pulled. Deep ditches create a powerful pull when water recedes, whether the tide is in or out, but particulary when it is in, covering the sandbars. If waves come in or recede at an angle, instead of straight in and straight back, that is a riptide current around a sandbar, and the pull is much stronger than it looks. Just visually inspecting, while educating your kiddos, where you wade before you wade is all that's needed to enjoy the beach.

The camp ground was nice. The yurts were what I expected, uncomfortable beds but otherwise nice. My reason for a 1 star rating is because the bathrooms are not heated, there is no hot water at the sinks, and you have to pay $1 for 6 minutes of hot water in the shower. I don’t know many who would be willing to take a shower, regardless of the hot water situation, when the bathroom is only 49 degrees. I have heard that this is not uncommon at Washington state parks. This is the first state park I have stayed in, and probably my last.

Checking in to our campsite, we were assured that this was our new favorite beach. It absolutely is- the beach is vast and beautiful. The campsite was almost completely full but you would never guess there were more than a few people anywhere nearby. We stayed in a yurt, and it was amazing. A few mosquitoes haunted the corners of the bathroom but bugs weren't much of an issue. Shower tokens are usually a bummer, but the time from one token is perfectly adequate. There was water pressure! A campground miracle! UPDATE: Back a year later, absolutely thrilled! Saw a few millipedes in the bathroom and laughed it off "remember that bad review we read," we chuckled, "about how there were too many millipedes?" and we settled in for the night. Then a hornet woke us up, and the lights went on. Millipedes. Everywhere. Crawling up the walls, across the floor, on the door frame. Sleep, out of the question. At least the relaxing sound of the ocean is right there to calm frazzled nerves.
