Excellent state park with fantastic camping. Each site is large and has a nice large area with a picnic table and fire pit. Most sites are shaded. All sites have 30/50amp, water, and sewer. The bathrooms are nice and air conditioned and air to be well kept. The staff is extremely nice. The park is approximately 1.5-2 miles from Watercolor and Seaside. Will definitely be staying here whenever we’re lucky enough to obtain a spot. The campground is just under a mile from the beach access.

This is a great State Beach. There is a Turtle Reef you can swim out to and snorkeling to see all of the marine life. There is also an RV camp ground. There is some construction taking place so when you visit, follow the ling mat and don't go on the boardwalk because it's closed off. It's laid back and most of the people are family, boomers and Gen X.

Another beautiful Florida Beach State Park. Gate staff were friendly and helpful. Nice paved roads and parking lots throughout. Nice restroom facilities near the beach. Beaches were beautiful and as untouched as you can find. The sand dunes are roped off and very cool. Great place for family photos. Lots of photographers utilize this location.

Grayton Beach State Park is truly one of Florida’s finest treasures—and we feel lucky to have it right in our backyard. As longtime locals, we’ve done it all here over the years: hiked the scenic trails, paddled across Western Lake, camped under the stars, and stayed in the cozy cabins during the 30A Songwriters Festival in January. The cabins are one of our favorite ways to enjoy the park—perfectly positioned along 30A, simple but comfortable, and a short walk to the beach. You get everything you need without the high price tag of nearby rentals, making it a fantastic and affordable way to enjoy the area. The beach itself is world-class—literally. With its powdery white sand and emerald waters, Grayton Beach has been ranked among the top beaches in the U.S. by Dr. Beach and others multiple times. It’s the kind of place that takes your breath away, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. We’ve brought family from out of state here just to experience it—it’s that special. On calm days, we love to paddleboard along the shoreline, and for those into diving, the Underwater Museum of Art (UMA) just offshore adds a truly unique experience you won’t find at most state parks. Sculptures become reef habitat, and diving there combines art, conservation, and adventure all in one. Whether you’re here for recreation or relaxation, Grayton Beach State Park offers a rare mix of natural beauty, peace, and accessibility. It’s one of the most unforgettable spots on the Gulf Coast—and a place we’ll keep coming back to for years to come.

Grayton Beach State Park is an exceptional location! It costs $5 per car for admission. However, be sure to get there early. Once the park reaches capacity, they will close the entrance for a while. We arrived mid-afternoon to take the one mile hike through the white sand dunes. It was an easy walk with amazing views. The sand can get hot though. So, be sure to have appropriate footwear. After the hike, we went to the beach for a quick swim. The water was clear, blue, and cool. We enjoyed it so much that we didn’t want to leave. We highly recommend exploring nature at this location.

We’ve been coming here since 2007’ish. Beautiful state park with one of the best beaches in the world! Unfortunately, the secret is out. The once eclectic small town of Grayton has become overdeveloped. As is the whole stretch of road known as 30A. March is overrun by spring breakers, as is October with fall breakers. Electric bikes have taken over the bike trail connecting all of the small beach towns on 30A. Golf carts are also everywhere. Pick your dates carefully. We stayed in the cabins this last trip. Cabin 12 is definitely past due for a remodel. Last fall we stayed in cabin 3 and you can tell the state park system is in the process of updating their cabins as cabin 3 was fantastic. Love the park! Everything outside the park is, well.......

This was such a nice stay! Stayed three nights in March 2025 in cabin 14b. Very nice cabin equipped with the amenities you would need as far as some kitchen items and linens. Bring hand soap and other toiletries and dish soap. There are a couple of dish towels provided too. There is a small coffee pot. Two bedrooms (one with queen bed and other with two twin beds) and one bath with a nice shower. There are also some books in the cabin as well as a couple of games and a nice 1000 piece puzzle of the US presidents. My “happy place” in the cabin is the lovely screened in porch! And just outside the screened in back porch is a nice picnic table and charcoal grill. That porch is a lovely place to read a good book, do a little painting or whatever hobby you’re into, pray, listen to nature, bird listening and viewing, watching the little lizards scurry by occasionally. There is a very nice walking path for a quick and relatively short walk over to the beach. There is a fire ring along the way that is available to reserve (you need permission to use), and a couple of “ponds”. There is a really nice board walk over the dunes and out on to the beach. There are steps, but also a ramp going all the way.

★★★★★ Stunning Beach with Perfect Amenities! Grayton Beach is absolutely breathtaking! The water is crystal clear with the most beautiful shades of blue, and the sand is soft, powdery, and pristine—truly picture-perfect. The beach itself is well-maintained, and I was impressed with how clean the restrooms were. Parking was also a breeze, which made the whole experience even better. Whether you’re looking to relax, swim, or take in the gorgeous views, this beach is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Grayton Beach State Park Review Grayton Beach State Park is an absolute gem on the Gulf Coast, offering one of the most pristine and breathtaking beaches in Florida. The sugar-white sand and crystal-clear waters make it a perfect spot for relaxation, swimming, and enjoying nature at its finest. Whether you’re taking a peaceful morning stroll or watching the sunset over the dunes, the beauty here is simply unmatched. One of the best parts about staying at Grayton Beach State Park is the on-site beach cottages. These cottages are not only charming but also exceptionally clean and well-maintained. They provide a comfortable and quiet retreat, nestled within the natural beauty of the park. Waking up surrounded by towering pines and coastal dunes while being just a short walk from the beach is an experience like no other. The park itself is well-kept, with excellent hiking and biking trails that allow you to explore the diverse coastal landscape. From spotting wildlife to kayaking on Western Lake, there’s no shortage of outdoor activities to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway or an extended stay, Grayton Beach State Park offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience Florida’s natural beauty at its best!

We love the campground. Our visit was 1st 2 weeks of February 2025. Temps ranged from upper 60s to low 70’s. Calm winds and sunny days made for an idyllic time on the beach. Quickly cooled down when the sun went down. Night temps were in the upper 40’s/lower 50’s. (Actually snowed here the week before we came. ). Campground bathhouses were lacking. Poorly lit at night and women’s bathroom was flooded on loop 2.
