The beach and campgrounds are well taken care of. Campsites are large and fairly private. Biggest complaint is the sanitation station is disgusting. A large cover over the dumping hole so no way to ensure the hose is in so the area gets covered in feces, etc. and it gets on bottom of shoes. Gross and so easily fixable.

My first time & definitely won't be my last!! Campsites and washrooms are well maintained, free firewood is great! staff are nice and respectful, Fern's convenient store & restaurant was great!! All in all my son and I will be back 2023!!! Edit: 2023 was unsuccessful to stay the whole summer, but other than that it was fantastic. We spent 5 weeks in M40 and it was nothing but a blast. Edit: 2024 was 5 weeks camping but again an unsuccessful but fun year. Due to the fireban started July 11th, we came home July 16. It was fun, the parks were well taken care of staff are all awesome people, beaches trails everything is just amazing about this campground. 2025 we'll be back!

First time coming here and won't be the last. Well taken care of Campground. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Checked out Ferns for their all you can eat breakfast and it was delicious. We had decent trees and only had to be out in the sun for a few hours before the trees covered it up. Make sure you have strong pegs. We just had the ones the tent came with and most of them are now bent because of the hard gravel we had to hammer them in. Overall, your camp site is a nice distance away from neighbors, the bugs weren't horrible, we did use off and mosquito coils, and the bathrooms are kept clean.

Beautiful Mixed Parkland geography. We tent and our campsite was beautiful but I saw a lot that weren't as nice as ours. The beach is small but was busy and had nice sand. There is a beautiful trail to walk around the campground and along the beach, it's about 2.5km. There is a couple really nice playgrounds so it's probably nice for people with children. We enjoyed our stay but compared to other places we camp, the cons outweighed the pros. The firepits are very tall with no cutout to let any heat out. Not nice on chilly nights. We found it very noisy all night, with the noise coming from private properties which basically surround the campground and the lake. Karaoke wedding and boat music kept us awake late. The toilets are mostly outhouses/flush outhouses which is fine except they say "accessible" but they are incredibly low and there is no light at night. There is no dog friendly beach.
