I have been to 4 other State Parks in the last two weeks and this one is by far the best. The host was very friendly and the showers were the best! Water that doesn't shut off constantly when you are trying to rinse off is a BIG plus compared to the other 4 campgrounds. Thank you.

Absolutely loved it. Nice wide sites and available 50amp service. Multiple dump locations in the park. We were close enough to water spigot that we could fill our tank and run off the pump all weekend. Can't beat the price. And many friendly folks in the park.

Nice site, a little packed and noisy, but great surrounding area, nature trails, trees and the Mighty Mississippi River. Great views and for a great cup of coffee head down the road into town to Lighthouse Coffee!

We tent camped on the electric side. The sites are all gravel (vs. paved) and many don’t have a flat grass space big enough for a tent. We lucked out with our site. It’s an easy walk to the lodge, visitor center, and trails. Shower house is heated. Loved that it very birdy, especially in the morning and evening. Owls, eagles, woodpeckers. No camp store and didn’t see anything in the nearest town. Wood from the camp host burned good though.
