Absolutely. Love the state park. It's a must seen and I absolutely loved the 11 mile trail that we took our E bike on. They have a new kayak ramp that makes it easier to get into the water.

I visited Green Valley State Park in mid-September with 3 grandkids. I found it to be a lovely park. Many flowers were blooming, it was well-kept. We first stopped by the ranger station for information and a kind ranger gave the kids a little talk on animal furs and skulls. It was very interesting. Then we got a map of the park and started exploring. There are two different playgrounds, one at the campground and another one. We played at both. We also played at the beach with sand toys. My granddaughter loved the story pages along the trail. I would have loved to walk more of the trails but we did have a great time and I'd like to go back. The trail goes all around the lake but we only walked a short distance of it. It was very pretty and I think it would be a great place to camp. I also noticed some cute cabins.

Spent a weekend here. It was lovely. We had sure number 6 and it had room and shade. Campers were very nice, park was clean and it was quite busy. Very much enjoyed our stay. And really loved how the tent sites are near the water. Wish we had known about that when we were tent camping. Bathrooms were fairly clean as well.

Stayed at the campgrounds over the weekend. Grounds are really nice and well maintained. Pet-friendly & family friendly. There is a modern restroom and shower, playgrounds, and well spaced out campsites. We stayed in the tent-only area, which was very spacious and directly on the lake, but you can get a great view of the lake from most sites nearby on this side of the grounds. The photos in the online reservation system were not updated, so we were surprised to find the trees had been long cut down; they would have come in handy as a wind barrier during this particular stay. The lake had beautiful scenery - perfect for catching an amazing sunset! There were a handful of recreational activities - boating & kayaking, a natural walking trail around the lake, a paved biking trail, and fishing was allowed from practically anywhere, including along the banks of the tent sites. The people that walked through or fished from our site were mostly courteous and kept to themselves. This campground was fairly busy with families getting their last camping trips in for the year - not recommended if you prefer a quieter camping experience. Def recommend for the gorgeous views, though!

Stayed here on labor day weekend. Made last minute plans, reserved online, and drove 3 and a half hours to get here. Beautiful, spacious camping spots. We always tent it and every spot seemed to have nice level ground. Our spot was perfectly located between the restrooms and the lake and the playground our son loved. The have great lakeside spots next to docks where u can keep your boats and have a nice little fish cleaning station. Also had a boat dock in the camp area as well as next to the beach area. The dnr was around but not nosy and the campground hosts were a lovely couple who helped direct my son and i to a nice unpaved trail around the lake. The beach was at a little area next to the campground but u can easily walk or ride bikes there. Clean sand, decent water, spacious clean cut grass only saw one piece of trash but it could have blown there and we took it out with our trash Bathrooms seemed newer and nice, also had 4 single stall/family showers. Each had their own door and locked and we're free! Great place!
