Greers Ferry Lake - COE/Choctaw
Greers Ferry Lake is a 40,000-acre lake located in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Cleburne and Van Buren counties in Arkansas. It is a popular destination for fishing, boating, camping, and other outdoor activities. The lake is named after John Greer, who settled in the area in the early 1800s. The lake is fed by the Little Red River, which is a tributary of the White River. The lake is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and is home to the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery. The lake is also home to the Coe Choctaw Clinton Recreation Area, which offers camping, picnicking, swimming, and other recreational activities.
