The lake was created in 1962 when the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built the Greers Ferry Dam across the Little Red River. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, swimming, camping, and other outdoor activities. The campgrounds are spacious, well maintained, and a great spot to camp. The restrooms and showers on site are clean and well maintained. The marina is wonderful and the staff at "The Dam Store" are friendly, helpful, and go out of their way to insure your time there is pleasant and enjoyable. One of my favorite places to visit. Highly recommend for a stress free, relaxing experience.

Clean, well maintained, not overly crowded.

They let in vehicles without a parking placard. They allow 30 people on each campsite. There should be limits and strictly enforced. I paid for the privacy and outdoors. Not to have 20+ people next to me being extremely noisy. This same lack of control, clogs up the road. You would think it was a main street at night. Not ever going back there.

This is a great place to vacation. Quiet and peaceful. This is my second time here, and I love it.

Camped at Dam Site F6. It was really nice! We enjoyed the lake front site and plan to return later this year. Everyone was really nice. The only con was no water but we managed the tanks
