Nice scenic campground, nice park host, but park is tick infested, we had to leave early due to the amount of ticks getting on us, some biting us ...they should close for a time and spray or ???

This campground probably has the best view. You get to stare at a mountain in the middle of a lake when you walk out your door! If you like kayaking or have a boat and like to hike that mountain island has a nice little hiking trail. Been here 5 days and have loved every minute of it well except for the biting flies 😅 other than that this maybe my go to camp site. Oh yea they only have electricity at sites but have a place to fill your fresh water tank.

We love staying at this campground; however, there needs to be a control burn done to help with insects. I know that is to be expected, but there are too many leaves that have been packed from so many years. Ticks are bad in the pine needles. Again, we love staying there and will continue to, but a burn needs happen.

Wonderful campground! Seems to be used mostly by RV'ers, but there are also many tent only sites as well. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. Boat ramp and swimming area are great! We brought our kayak to paddle out to Sugar Loaf Mountain and couldn't get to the ramp to launch due to all the motor boats coming and going, so we unloaded and launched next to the swimming area. Easy access this way! I would definitely recommend this campground and plan to go back!

Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Loved the outdoors and taking naps. Loved the gatekeeper. Very nice and kind. Will be back.

Beautiful!!! Clean, quiet campground. Nice sites, lake and beach access, marina and good times. Very scenic area, boating, kayak, swim, hiking up sugar loaf mountain! Hosts & Rangers are very nice folks. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is that there are no full hook up sites.

Boat ramp to small for traffic, parking for a hundred cars but can only get boats in and out 2 at a time?

I've been going here since I was a kid. Campgrounds are well maintained and the swimming area is in great shape too.

Good for small campers and tents but lots of narrow curves and trees and you might need some extra boards for your camper stabilizers as some sites are pretty sloped.
