Gregoire's Campground offers a classic Maine experience for RVers looking for a peaceful retreat near the Atlantic coast. This family-owned and operated destination has been welcoming travelers for decades, maintaining a reputation for a quiet and friendly atmosphere. The park features a mix of wooded and open sites, providing a natural backdrop for your coastal getaway. Unlike high-traffic resorts, this campground focuses on providing a relaxing home base where guests can enjoy the scenic beauty of the Wells area without excessive noise or crowds.

Location & Surroundings

Situated conveniently on Route 1, the park provides easy access to the region's most famous coastal villages. One of the best features of the location is the seasonal trolley service, which stops right at the campground entrance. This allows guests to explore local beaches and shops without the hassle of driving a large rig or finding parking. The surrounding area is characterized by marshlands and coastal forests, offering a refreshing breeze and a sense of seclusion despite being just minutes away from the main thoroughfare.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is well-equipped to handle modern RV needs while maintaining its rustic charm. Guests will find spacious sites featuring full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service, ensuring a comfortable stay for any sized rig. On-site amenities include a clean swimming pool for cooling off on summer days, a playground for children, and essential facilities like hot showers and laundry rooms. Every site is furnished with a picnic table and a fire ring, encouraging campers to enjoy the traditional outdoor experience of an evening campfire under the stars.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The proximity to Wells Beach and Drake’s Island makes this a prime spot for ocean lovers and sunbathers. Just a short drive south takes you to the vibrant village of Ogunquit, famous for its Marginal Way cliff walk and sandy shores. To the north, visitors can explore the historic charm of Kennebunkport and Dock Square. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, which offers beautiful trails and birdwatching opportunities along the tidal salt marshes that define the Southern Maine coastline.

Who This Park Is Best For

This campground is ideal for families and retirees who prefer a slower pace and a community-oriented environment. It is a fantastic choice for those who plan to spend their days exploring the coast and want a convenient, reliable location to return to each evening. Because of its pull-through options and easy access from the highway, it also serves as an excellent stop for travelers touring the New England region. Quiet small campground. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Not alot to do here but the staff was really friendly and there was a hot dog food truck there the weekend we were there. Not far from the ocean and stores. Its called Coastal Woods campground now. New owners.

This campground is centrally located to Wells Beach, Congdon's Donuts, and Congdon's After Dark. Our sites were great. Bathrooms aren't open yet but should be open for the 2023 season. This was our 3rd year camping here and we'll be back.

Stayed there for a week this year in our camper. Everything was closed (bathrooms, showers, etc). This has not been a problem in our experience at any other campgrounds. The staff was also not friendly at all. We felt as is we almost were not welcome as every interaction with the women that worked there was not pleasant. With so many other campgrounds in much better condition, that will welcome your business why choose this dump!
