The rooms are not clean and they smell. There were stains on the floor, dirt and hair in the bathroom. The hotel needs and update. Gridley needs a quality hotel. Unfortunately, The Gridley Inn is not one.

We've been here for 1 1/2 year and enjoy the quiet, laid back atmosphere and the peace of MIND that comes with it. The location is central to Yuba City, Oroville & Chico with plenty of things to do and see. Gridley is a great place to live exuding small town friendliness and charm.

We stayed there Dec 21 thru 25,,, from the moment we arrived the office person was very nice an approachable thats always a good thing. We stayed in one of the cottages, they are very ample had lots of room for our possessions as we were there for geese hunting, the staff cleaned our room daily, there are plenty of restaurants and markets within walking distance, we will definitely stay here again

Rooms are not up to date or modern in anyway but they are clean and comfortable. The beds are very soft, sheets are clean, the complementary snack and water was a nice touch and when I was staying here for a month on and off the staff even made sure I didn't loose any personal / valuable belongings. (I was switching rooms a lot and left a necklace behind, housekeeping was the one who notified me I'd left it behind! So bonus points for honest and kind!) The only real downside here is how expensive the rooms are for literally being close to nothing of great importance and the RV park itself is a bit trashy, some RV spots seem very cluttered or run down and some of its residents are not really pleasant so keep that in mind for extended RV visits.
