Guadalupe River State Park is one of our favorite places to get outdoors. We love hiking the trails — they’re well-marked, scenic, and offer a nice mix of easy and moderate routes through the Hill Country. The views are beautiful, especially along the river, and there’s plenty of shade in most areas. Spending time by the river is the best part. The water is clean, perfect for cooling off or just relaxing by the bank, and there are several good spots for swimming or picnicking. The park is always clean and well-maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a great place for hiking, relaxing, and soaking up a little Texas nature.

The campsites are super clean, I have never come across campsites that are that clean including rest areas. They also had activity with San antonio astronomical association that evening which was a very good learning experience for kids and adults. Water level was very low , I wish it was little deeper .

One of my favorite state parks. The river felt great to get in and cool off. Trails of all levels and you can spend as much time as you would like. Camping spots are nice and have plenty of room.

One of my favorite state parks (coming from someone who has almost visited them all). The trails are well maintained and the facilities are top notch cleaned. Brand new bathrooms. Gorgeous white rock cliffs along the water and challenging hill county quiet trails. The best of all worlds. Site 63 is my favorite for hammock camping.

Went to Guadalupe River State Park for the first time with my family this weekend. We had a great time. Just the what we were looking for to cool off in the water. I did make a reservation online for our visit. When we arrived it was a breeze to get in. The restrooms are big and clean. The water is warm and clean. The river does have some shallow ends and deeper ends. There are picnic tables under some trees. Definitely a must visit.
