Nice little campground. Bathrooms were usually kept up and clean. We stayed in a tent. Good spaces for tents. Had a nearby stream for background noise while sleeping. Peaceful. Flies and ants were thick but it was June.

Our stay of three days were so relaxing. The sites were shaded and the vault toilets were actually very, very clean. I can't speak highly enough about the camp hosts, Ray and Donna. They do an excellent job maintaining the grounds and were so very friendly. During our stay we saw a doe and her fawn as well as a Moose in the site next to us.

The campground was nice and the facilities were clean. However, we were notified that there was a bear in the area and the host seemed pretty nonchalant about the seriousness. The bear is apparently adolescent and relatively small. We only stayed one night but in that time period, the bear came into our camp twice. He tried to get into one of our Jeeps and then attempted to get in the bed of my truck. We have rooftop tents so we were at least above the ground and we were able to scare it away with some shouting and horn honking. While I know that we are encroaching on their environment and it is unfair to expect an animal to respect boundaries. I think this bear has become too accustomed to the free meals he can get from campers on the grounds. His comfort around humans is quite a risk. If you do stay here, stay away from the spots nearby trashcans. The smell of them was definitely a major contributor to the interest of the bear in our spot, which was parallel to one dumpsters location. And, of course, practice preventative measures like hanging your food and throwing food scraps away. Also, if you have a fridge that stores on the exterior of a vehicle or trailer (mine is a Dometic), that seal is not sufficient enough to keep the food smell in. The bear will try and open the lid and can cause damage. I speak from experience.

The camp host is the nicest. She was reasonable and full of information as well as just nice at all times. Great access to water and bathrooms (very clean and fully stocked!). It was a great place to stay. Quiet at night and AMAZING stars! Don't forget to look up.

Joan and her husband are the hosts. They are amazing and the place is gorgeous. Fyi, they do have water hydrants throughout the campground but you will need to transport the water back to your site. There is a dump station four miles away at Wupperman Campground. (It's locked so you will need to speak with the host). We stayed in site #5 with a 40' fifth wheel. There are about 7 or 8 sites that will fit a large trailer/RV.
